(sonla.gov.vn) Implementing the work program for December 2025, on December 16th, a working group from the Son La Provincial People's Committee, led by Mr. Dang Ngoc Hau, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, held a meeting with Chieng Son and Xuan Nha communes to discuss the implementation of the National Target Program Plan for the period 2026-2030.

The delegation included leaders from the Departments of Construction, Finance, Ethnic Minorities and Religion, Agriculture and Environment, and the Border Guard Command - Provincial Military Command. Receiving and working with the delegation were the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and the People's Committee of Xuan Nha and Chieng Son communes.

At the meeting, after hearing the leaders of the communes report on the overall socio -economic development situation and the implementation of the National Target Programs and Plans for the period 2026-2030; in which the communes mainly proposed projects related to transportation infrastructure, irrigation, and clean water... The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the preparatory work of the two communes and requested them to review the proposed projects, paying attention to reviewing the planning work, and on that basis propose a list of investment projects, especially considering the urgency and effectiveness of the projects to make comparisons and priorities, thereby formulating investment policy proposals.

The comrade also emphasized that the review needs to be comprehensive, but focused and highly feasible, focusing on implementing 6-8 projects in each commune instead of spreading investment across many projects that do not yield results. He also requested that communes prioritize the implementation of Government Decree No. 272/2025/ND-CP on the demarcation of ethnic minority and mountainous areas for the period 2026-2030, ensuring that the evaluation criteria are substantive, relevant to each region, and use people's income as a benchmark. At the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested that communes effectively implement administrative reforms, avoid backlogs of documents, and prioritize the efficient processing of online and digitized applications.

Regarding the departments and agencies, Comrade Dang Ngoc Hau requested that, based on their functions and responsibilities, the departments should promptly provide specific guidance to localities to effectively implement the National Target Program and Plan. For consulting units, it is necessary to urgently coordinate and support the communes in reviewing and proposing investment lists that are consistent with the guiding principles and relevant to the localities. He also requested that the relevant sectors consider and resolve the recommendations from the two localities as soon as possible.

Earlier, the working group of the Provincial People's Committee also surveyed several locations proposed for investment projects in the two communes of Chiềng Sơn and Xuân Nha.
