Energizing and operating the project to increase the capacity of Thu Thua 110kV Station

The project has a total investment of about 36 billion VND, equipped with a synchronous, modern equipment system according to international standards IEC, IEEE, ensuring technical requirements, safe and stable operation.

The items to be implemented include installing an additional 63MVA power transformer, constructing and fully equipping the 110kV transformer compartment, 110kV segment compartment, installing new 22kV side cabinets including the main circuit breaker cabinet, measuring voltage transformer cabinet, compensation capacitor cabinet and 5 circuit breaker cabinets, at the same time, synchronizing the protection control system, SCADA, measurement, power metering and renovating the self-consumption power system, 6MVAr compensation capacitor.

Deputy Director of Long An Electricity Company - Nguyen Huy Phuong said: "After increasing the capacity of Thu Thua 110kV station, it will meet the power supply demand for industrial parks and residential areas, reduce the load on existing transformer stations and neighboring stations, and at the same time, increase the power supply capacity in the area, creating conditions to promote socio-economic development".

The completion of the project's energization has great strategic significance, not only meeting the strong growth in electricity load demand in the context of Long An promoting investment attraction, industrial development, and rapid urbanization, but also contributing to increasing the stability and reliability of the entire regional power grid.

This is also a great effort of the Southern electricity industry in responding to the 90-day sprint emulation movement to complete the energization of 110kV power grid projects to celebrate 50 years of EVNSPC "Building - Developing - Lighting up trust" (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025)./.
