According to parents and students, the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year (abbreviated as the exam) is a turning point with a lot of pressure on students' learning process.

Ms. Nguyen Thuy Nga, Tu An Ward (Buon Ma Thuot City) analyzed that after graduating from junior high school, students will have many paths to take, but at the age of adolescence and with traditional cultural characteristics, families always want their children to study in high school at a good quality school, close to home to accompany their children. High expectations mean great pressure, students have to study seriously and work harder to gain an advantage in the competition for admission.

Students of Quang Trung Secondary School (Ea Sup district) exchange information about how to take exams after regular school hours at school.

To prepare well for the upcoming exam, Tran Khanh Nhi, class 9A2, Quang Trung Secondary School (Ea Sup district) has created a study schedule interspersed with various recreational activities: morning classes at school, afternoon self-study at home and playing sports, evening practice tests... Nhi also takes additional online courses in Math because this is the subject she feels most worried about.

It is necessary to strengthen the coordination between families and schools to remind and monitor students during their studies. Secondary schools should direct homeroom teachers and subject teachers to find solutions to coordinate with parents to help students arrange a reasonable review time; develop a suitable diet, rest and exercise regimen so that students have good health during the review period and take part in the exam.

Dr. Do Tuong Hiep , Deputy Director of Department of Education and Training

H'Quynh Nhu Ktul, class 9B, Ama Trang Long Primary and Secondary School (Buon Don District) has reviewed early but still feels not very confident in the upcoming exam because the 2018 General Education Program has a wide range of knowledge and requires high practicality. Therefore, H'Quynh Nhu Ktul hopes that the exam will have a high level of differentiation so that she has a chance to be admitted to Tran Dai Nghia High School near her home.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Chinh, Vice Principal of Tran Hung Dao Secondary School (Ea Sup District) shared that the change from admission to entrance exam has brought pressure and difficulties for parents and students. Therefore, after grasping information from the education sector about the 10th grade admission work, the school has developed a plan and organized review sessions for grade 9 students in the whole school (starting from December 2024). Up to now, extra classes are still maintained in 3 subjects (Math, English, Literature) with a duration of 2 sessions/week. The school also assigned subject teachers to participate in training courses organized by the education sector to improve knowledge, teaching skills, and review to provide maximum support for students to help them achieve the best results in the upcoming exam.

The 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year will take place on June 5 and 6 with subjects such as Math, Literature, Foreign Languages (English, French) and specialized subjects if registering for Nguyen Du High School for the Gifted.

To prepare for the exam, the education sector is focusing on preparing from educational institutions to provincial levels; promoting communication about enrollment plans, exam formats and structures in accordance with the requirements of the subject and the secondary school level goals of the 2018 General Education Program...

Students of Buon Ho town participate in career education activities at Nguyen Truong To Secondary School.

Dr. Do Tuong Hiep, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training, said that the Department has requested educational institutions to strengthen the organization of review, consolidate knowledge, and combine training in self-study and self-review skills for students; develop teaching plans, supplement knowledge, and test-taking skills appropriate to each group of subjects, focusing on students with poor academic results, ethnic minority students, students with difficult family circumstances, students in areas with especially difficult socio-economic conditions, etc.

Based on the reality, educational institutions should organize some mock exams for 9th grade students to help them get familiar with the exam environment; analyze the exam results of each class, subject, and subject to adjust the teaching plan to match the core knowledge content taught directly in class with the knowledge content that students self-study with guidance and testing from teachers...
