Dong Hy: 37 more cooperatives operating in the agricultural sector

Dong Hy district currently has 79 cooperatives operating in the agricultural sector, an increase of 37 cooperatives compared to 2020. The main industries of the cooperatives are: agricultural services; tea production and trading; livestock and poultry farming.

With the goal of raising awareness of the role of cooperative economy ; promoting the application of science and technology in agricultural production and connecting the community, from 2020 to now, Dong Hy District People's Committee has coordinated to organize 20 propaganda classes on the Law on Cooperatives and collective economic development policies; training on agricultural and forestry production techniques... for over 800 people. At the same time, the district also strengthens state management of collective economy; consolidates and improves the quality and efficiency of cooperatives' operations in the spirit of resolutions, action programs, and plans of the Central and the province to help cooperatives develop.

Tea area is grown according to VietGAP standards of BKQ Tea Cooperative, Khe Mo commune.

According to the assessment of Dong Hy District People's Committee, basically all cooperatives operate in accordance with the Law on Cooperatives and promote efficiency, create jobs, and increase income for members and employees. Specifically, the cooperatives currently have nearly 1,350 regular employees, with an average income of 63 million VND/person/year.
