With a breakthrough vision, Dr. Le Anh Xuan, General Director of Truc Anh Biotechnology Company Limited (Truc Anh Company), has researched and successfully implemented a shrimp farming model that completely replaces antibiotics and chemicals with microorganisms and biological products. The harvested shrimp achieves high export quality, meeting even the most demanding markets. This contribution has been recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development , and awarded the title of "Science and Technology Enterprise, High-Tech Agricultural Enterprise".

Truc Anh Company was founded by Dr. Le Anh Xuan in 2004. Initially, the company had only a few people, now the total number of staff is nearly 200, including dozens of engineers and masters. Dr. Le Anh Xuan and his colleagues have researched and successfully applied the process of raising clean shrimp , raising safe shrimp according to GAP/CoC standards. The raw shrimp after harvest does not contain antibiotics, chemicals and meets export standards. Thanks to the clean shrimp farming process that brings high economic efficiency, reduces costs, reduces risks, and is sustainable, it has been trusted and widely applied by tens of thousands of shrimp farming households nationwide.

In addition, Truc Anh Company also produces and trades veterinary medicine for aquatic products; produces white-leg shrimp breeds; consults, transfers and develops clean shrimp farming areas... From 2017 to present, the company has carried out a pilot project "Production of biological products using submerged fermentation technology to improve the quality of shrimp farming water on an industrial scale" assigned by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and at the same time implemented the project "Technology transfer, building a model for production and processing of some medicinal mushrooms and lingzhi mushrooms with high economic value in Bac Lieu" assigned by the Ministry of Science and Technology...

Besides producing breeds and veterinary medicines for aquatic products, the company actively consults and transfers technology through seminars and field trips, helping many households in the Mekong Delta region to access and apply, raising shrimp with positive and stable results.

In addition to business activities, Dr. Le Anh Xuan and Truc Anh Company also actively participate in social security work, demonstrating a high sense of responsibility to the community. The company has contributed more than 10 billion VND to donate Charity Houses, providing capital and business guidance to dozens of poor Khmer households.

Dr. Le Anh Xuan was born in 1976 into a poor farming family in Thanh Hoa province. After graduating with a degree in aquaculture engineering, he chose Bac Lieu (now Ca Mau province) to realize his dream of raising shrimp and effectively applying scientific and technological achievements to the farming process, ensuring sustainability.

With his constant innovations, Dr. Le Anh Xuan was honored as the Farmer Scientist of the year 2018; successfully defended his PhD thesis at Can Tho University. He is affectionately called by everyone: “Barefoot Doctor”, “Shrimp Doctor”.

"Cooperative Star"

Established in 2016, with 30 members and a total charter capital of 1 billion VND, Vinh Cuong Agricultural Service Cooperative (Vinh Cuong Cooperative) has been constantly developing. Up to now, the Cooperative has 485 official members, more than 10,000 associate members, with a total charter capital of more than 5,000 billion VND, operating capital of more than 17,000 billion VND; creating jobs for more than 550 workers in the provinces of Ca Mau, An Giang, and Dong Thap.

The success of Vinh Cuong Cooperative is the application of a very strict "from field to market" production process. The unit commits to purchasing 100% of products for members and farmers. In particular, the Cooperative takes care of the entire production process, from land improvement, sowing, providing agricultural materials to harvesting. The average income of members has increased by 30-40% compared to before, many households have the conditions to build houses, take care of their children's education and invest in new machinery.

Mr. Ha Quang Thang, a member of the cooperative, excitedly said: “ Farmers now only need to "point" around their fields, wait for the day to get money in their pockets, no longer struggling and worrying about input or output costs. Thanks to the cooperative model, farmers' profits have increased significantly, if before each hectare of land only earned a profit of 1-2 million VND/hectare/crop, now the average is 3 million VND, and can even reach 4-5 million VND ” .

Vinh Cuong Cooperative applies science and technology to rice fields and production processes.

Every year, Vinh Cuong Cooperative produces and supplies more than 2,000 tons of rice seeds (Nang Hoa 9, Dai Thom 8, OM18...) ensuring quality and reasonable prices; providing materials for more than 485 official member households and households, with a total area of ​​more than 13,500 hectares/year. In particular, the Cooperative signs contracts to purchase rice with more than 6,000 households (total area of ​​over 50,000 hectares/year), purchasing 350-500 thousand tons of rice annually, ensuring stable output according to market prices.

Mr. Trinh Van Cuong, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Director of the Cooperative, shared: "The Cooperative is cooperating with 3 corporations and 11 companies in consuming rice output for members and farmers. In particular, the Cooperative has completed the construction of a code for growing raw rice that meets export standards to the European market (SRP) with more than 2,700 hectares, completing the code for growing traceable origin with an area of ​​7,000 hectares. Implementing the Project "Sustainable development of 1 million hectares of high-quality and low-emission rice cultivation associated with green growth in the Mekong Delta by 2030", the Cooperative has coordinated with members and households to register to implement 16,000 hectares in the communes: Vinh My and Vinh Thanh (Ca Mau province), Vinh An and Vinh Hanh (An Giang province)".

The benefits of cooperative economy lie not only in economics but also in changing the mindset of farmers from small-scale production to cooperation, sharing and mutual development.

In addition, the Cooperative also provides mechanical services to members and farmers in agricultural production such as: combine harvesters, plowing, tilling, spraying pesticides by plane, at prices lower than outside rental prices.

In the period of 2025-2030, Vinh Cuong Cooperative has a strategic orientation to expand the scale of raw material areas, promote digital transformation in product management and consumption, and develop an advanced model of " green cooperative - circular agriculture - low emissions ". The core goal is to increase income and ensure a sustainable life for members.

Vinh Cuong Agricultural Service Cooperative has become a typical and outstanding model in the value chain of production, rice purchasing and agricultural material supply, not only in Ca Mau but also in neighboring provinces. In recognition of these outstanding achievements, the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance has honored Vinh Cuong Cooperative with the noble title "Cooperative Star" for two consecutive years 2024 and 2025.
