Dong Nai: Accommodation facilities are ready to serve tourists on the occasion of April 30th holiday

Dong Nai will organize a number of major events to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025). Of which, two events that attract great attention from the people are the Dong Nai Pottery Festival and Hot Air Balloon Festival 2025, which will take place from April 27 to 30, 2025, in Bien Hoa City. To meet the needs of tourists for sightseeing, entertainment and accommodation, accommodation facilities are ready to welcome visitors.

Currently, the province has 136 tourist accommodation establishments with a total of nearly 3,800 rooms. Of these, 14 establishments are ranked from 1 to 5 stars. The locality with the most accommodation establishments is Bien Hoa city with nearly 80 establishments with over 1,500 rooms; Tan Phu district and Long Khanh city are the two localities with the second most accommodation establishments in the province with about 13 establishments. Accommodation establishments have preferential policies to stimulate tourism during the April 30 and May 1 holidays.

In the series of events celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification of the province, the Hot Air Balloon Festival is the first event that will open on the morning of April 27, at Son Tien Eco-tourism City Joint Stock Company (Son Tien Tourist Area, Bien Hoa City). The Hot Air Balloon Festival will gather 50 hot air balloons symbolizing the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification of the country. This is the largest hot air balloon festival ever in Vietnam.

On this occasion, in order to serve tourists who want to stay longer to participate in other commemorative events in Dong Nai as well as neighboring areas, Son Tien Island resort at Son Tien tourist area with 50 rooms is ready to serve tourists who need to stay with prices ranging from over 1.8 to 4.6 million VND/room/night (depending on room type and time of stay, weekdays, weekends, holidays).

Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism LE THI NGOC LOAN said that the department requested tourism, travel and accommodation service businesses to have preferential programs on prices and services, enhancing the experience for tourists. Mobilize tourist areas, tourist attractions, tourist accommodation establishments, tourist transportation, and other service businesses to have appropriate preferential policies for tourists.

Ensuring safety for tourism and accommodation activities

During peak tourist seasons and festivals, the issue of ensuring security, order and health safety for tourists is always a concern for authorities and tourism and accommodation businesses.

To ensure safe entertainment and exploration activities in Dong Nai during the April 30 holiday, Deputy Head of the Department of Sports and Tourism Management (Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism - VHTTDL) Nguyen Van Hau said that the April 30 holiday and International Labor Day (May 1) will last for 5 days. On this occasion, Dong Nai organizes major events, attracting many people and tourists to visit and stay at tourist areas, hotels... The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has issued a notice, requesting the management boards of tourist areas, destinations, accommodation establishments as well as tourism service establishments in the province to proactively develop plans and solutions to serve tourists during the April 30 and May 1 holidays. Accordingly, establishments must strictly comply with regulations on posting prices and selling at the correct listed prices; advertising the correct type and class of tourist accommodation establishments recognized by competent state agencies. For parking in tourist areas and spots, we request that units post specific prices.

Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Thi Ngoc Loan said that the department has just announced the Tourism Development Stimulus Program in 2025 with the message "Dong Nai - Come and feel". Through the province's tourism stimulus program, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism hopes to create favorable conditions to attract tourists to visit and relax in Dong Nai, contributing to maintaining the tourism development of Dong Nai to reach double digits; at the same time, increasing the tourism service experience for tourists through rich, diverse and quality tourism programs.
