Dong Tam Group and CS WIND Group signed a cooperation agreement

On September 10, Dong Tam Group (DTG) and CS WIND Group (CS WIND, Korea) officially signed a memorandum of understanding. Accordingly, DTG will lease land to invest in building a large-scale wind power equipment factory in the world , with a total expected investment capital of up to 200 million USD.

Attending the ceremony were Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Long An province - Nguyen Van Duoc; Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Council of Long An province - Mai Van Nhieu; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Huynh Van Son; representatives of leaders of departments and branches of Long An province; leaders of Can Giuoc district.

On CS WIND's side, there were Group CEO - Bang Seong-Hun; Senior Director - Kim Roy; General Director of CS WIND Vietnam - Nguyen The Kien.

On DTG's side, there is Chairman of the Board of Directors - Vo Quoc Thang.

With a good production and quality management system and deep and wide global management expertise, CS WIND has supplied more than 13,000 wind towers to the world's leading wind turbine manufacturers such as Vestas, Siemens-Gamesa, GE and Goldwind,... affirming its position in the global renewable energy industry.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Long An province - Nguyen Van Duoc presented flowers and gifts to congratulate the two units on signing the cooperation agreement.

In CS WIND's development plan in Vietnam, Long An province is the second locality that CS WIND chooses to invest in.

The cooperation agreement is that DTG and its member units will lease 50 hectares of industrial land and industrial services to CS WIND Vietnam to build a factory and assembly yard for offshore and onshore wind tower equipment, wind power products such as monopiles, transition equipment, etc. to supply the global market.

The factory has the largest wind power equipment manufacturing capacity in the world at the time of project establishment, with a total investment capital in the first phase expected to reach 200 million USD. The expected operating capacity is up to tens of thousands of units per year, supplying super-sized and super-heavy equipment from 500-4,000 tons per device. In particular, 100% of equipment and accessories in the first phase are imported and exported through Long An International Port, estimated at 150,000-200,000 tons/year.

Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman of Long An Provincial People's Committee - Huynh Van Son emphasized: The signing ceremony affirms the seriousness in investment in the project of the relevant parties. The local government commits to always pay attention to and accompany businesses, investors, and Can Giuoc district to deploy and successfully implement the project. Strongly developed industrial parks not only attract capital, but also contribute significantly to the state budget, create more jobs for local workers; produce many highly competitive domestic and export consumer goods.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of DTG - Vo Quoc Thang, on behalf of the investor, affirmed: “We are very excited to have a prestigious corporation like CS WIND investing in the Southeast Asia Industrial Park Long An. After the factory comes into operation, the equipment manufactured here will be conveniently exported to countries around the world through Long An International Port”.

The increase in the volume of goods exported and imported through Long An International Port will also contribute to increasing local import and export turnover, increasing budget revenue, promoting local socio-economic development, and contributing to the development of logistics activities and the regional economy./ .
