Groundbreaking ceremony for Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh expressway connecting Binh Phuoc with Dak Nong

Component project 1 of the Gia Nghia (Dak Nong) - Chon Thanh ( Binh Phuoc ) Expressway Project has a total length of 124 km, a scale of 4 expressway lanes, and a design speed of 100 - 120 km/h.

In parallel with the construction of the main highway, the Project will build interchanges and underpasses to ensure convenient connections and minimize disruptions that affect the lives of residents on both sides of the route.

Leaders of Binh Phuoc province performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh Expressway Project.

Component I project has a total investment of VND 19,965 billion, of which the State capital is VND 6,842 billion from the increased revenue of the Central budget in 2022. The capital mobilized by the investor is VND 12,134 billion (excluding loan interest of VND 989 billion). The project implementation period is from 2025 to 2027.

The consortium of Vingroup Corporation - Vietnam Technological and Commercial Joint Stock Bank ( Techcombank ) is the investor implementing the project.

Along with Component Project I implemented by the investor, the People's Committees of Binh Phuoc and Dak Nong provinces are each in charge of 2 Component Projects on site clearance and construction of service roads and overpasses passing through their localities in the form of public investment.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Chairwoman of Binh Phuoc Provincial People's Committee Tran Tue Hien assessed that the Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh Expressway Project plays the role of a strategic connection axis, closely linking Binh Phuoc, Dak Nong provinces and many other localities in the Southeast region and Ho Chi Minh City.

Ms. Hien pledged that Binh Phuoc and Dak Nong provinces will focus on quickly and effectively implementing site clearance and resettlement work to ensure the legitimate rights of the people, in accordance with reality and regulations.

At the same time, ensure the supply of construction materials for the Project, make maximum use of specific mechanisms to shorten the time and speed up the implementation progress.

Once completed, the project will shorten travel time, reduce logistics costs, promote trade, attract investment, and enhance regional connectivity.

“When the Gia Nghia – Chon Thanh expressway is completed, it is expected to open a new chapter, creating a strong driving force for Binh Phuoc and Dak Nong provinces to break through and deeply integrate into the country's overall development process,” emphasized the Chairman of the Binh Phuoc Provincial People's Committee.
