Discussing solutions for developing Ha Tinh's digital economy

On the afternoon of May 20, the Department of Science and Technology coordinated with the National Economics University to organize a scientific workshop with the theme: "Orientation and solutions for developing Ha Tinh's digital economy by 2030".

The workshop was attended by leaders of departments and branches; many experts, scientists in the fields of economics, information technology and businesses in the province.

At the workshop, experts from the National Economics University, the University of Economics - National University, and the Ha Tinh Informatics Association discussed many important contents such as: the current status of socio-economic development in Ha Tinh province and the digital economic development plan until 2030; assessing the current status of digital economic development in Ha Tinh province according to indicators and policy recommendations; the current status of digital economy, scenarios and solutions for digital economic development in Ha Tinh; building a digital transformation model for Ha Tinh enterprises...

According to experts, Ha Tinh has basically completed the institutional framework for digital economic development. Notably, on October 22, 2021, the Provincial Party Committee issued Resolution No. 05-NQ/TU on focusing on leadership and direction of digital transformation in Ha Tinh province for the period 2021 - 2025, with a vision to 2030.

In addition, Ha Tinh is a locality with a fairly high GRDP growth rate, higher than the national average, so it has great potential for digital economic development. Ha Tinh's core digital economy (ICT industry) mainly comes from the telecommunications industry; the expanded digital economy (KTS industry) shows a large spread in the economy, accounting for a higher proportion than the national average, and the growth rate has also been quite impressive in recent years.

In the agricultural sector, digital economy is applied to the construction of stamps, labels, and product traceability using QR codes to put on e-commerce platforms; 100% of cooperatives, cooperative groups, and farming households produce products according to VietGap, Global GAP, and OCOP standards; 544 products are introduced and sold on the Ha Tinh e-commerce platform.

The industrial and energy sectors account for a high proportion of Ha Tinh's digital economy, but the growth rate is unstable. The digital economy in the commercial sector accounts for a large proportion, with a very impressive growth rate.

From the current situation and through the research process in the scientific topic: Orientation and solutions for digital economic development in Ha Tinh province by 2030, experts from the National Economics University proposed many solutions for digital economic development in Ha Tinh.

Accordingly, to develop the core economy, Ha Tinh needs to focus on developing the information technology and hardware industry. Build a concentrated information technology zone, attract FDI investment. In addition, it is necessary to continue promoting digital transformation activities in agriculture and forestry, developing the digital economy in tourism, developing e-commerce, etc.
