Comrade Tran Duc Luong's affection for the Party Committee and People of Bac Giang

On February 8, 1999, on the occasion of the Spring of the Year of the Cat, President Tran Duc Luong visited and wished a Happy New Year to the people, cadres and soldiers of Bac Giang province.

During this visit, working with key leaders of the province, President Tran Duc Luong welcomed Bac Giang province for overcoming difficulties, allocating over 2 billion VND to subsidize poor households and policy beneficiaries; at the same time, commended the achievements of the Party Committee and people of all ethnic groups in Bac Giang province in recent years.

During his working visit to Bac Giang, the President visited the 2/9 Lang Giang Mechanical Cooperative; visited and extended New Year greetings to officers and soldiers of the Huong Giang Corps and a number of veteran revolutionary cadres and heroic Vietnamese Mothers in the province.

During July 31 and August 1, 2003, President Tran Duc Luong visited and worked in Bac Giang province. At the meeting with key leaders of the province, the President expressed his joy at the province's socio -economic achievements, and at the same time noted that the province needs to pay attention to promoting internal resources and taking advantage of external resources for comprehensive development. In agricultural development, it is important to connect "four houses" (the State, farmers, scientists, and businesses) to industrialize and modernize agriculture. He also noted that the province needs to exploit the economic potential of forests and develop the wood processing industry....
