Agree to donate land to build Vu Manh Hung road in Tu Minh ward

The leaders of Tu Minh Ward People's Committee organized propaganda to mobilize households in the Vu Manh Hung Road Renovation and Upgrade Project to donate land for road construction.

Vu Manh Hung Street, Lo Cuong area, Tu Minh ward, has long been an important traffic route serving the travel needs of many households and students. However, due to its degradation and narrow road surface, traffic and daily activities of the people face many difficulties, especially in the rainy season.

Faced with that reality, the People's Committee of Tu Minh Ward has implemented a plan to renovate and upgrade Vu Manh Hung Street with the motto "The State and the people work together". The project has a total length of about 200 m, with 14 households having to carry out site clearance. The total investment cost is over 4.1 billion VND, striving to be completed by the end of this year.

According to the plan, these households had to donate part of their land, even fences, gates and yards to build roads. However, contrary to common concerns, the majority of people welcomed the policy with a positive spirit.

The groups went to each house to mobilize households to donate land for road construction.

Immediately after the project was implemented, 8 households voluntarily signed a commitment to donate land, creating favorable conditions for the counting and measurement work to take place smoothly and on schedule. The remaining 6 households, after being actively propagated and mobilized by local authorities, organizations and residential groups, also unanimously agreed to carry out the asset counting.

Not only agreeing, the households also proactively coordinated with the residential group and the construction unit to clean up and hand over the site to the construction unit.

"Skilled mass mobilization"

Implementing the direction of the Standing Committee of the Tu Minh Ward Party Committee on speeding up the progress of site clearance for projects, in recent times, the Ward Site Clearance Council, professional departments and related residential groups have focused on strengthening propaganda and mobilizing people's consensus. Each cadre and party member must promote a sense of responsibility, stay close to the grassroots, promptly grasp the thoughts and aspirations of the people, resolve arising problems in a reasonable and sympathetic manner, and create high consensus among the people.

For the Vu Manh Hung Road Renovation and Upgrade Project, from the beginning, all information about planning, scope, area, and boundaries were made public and transparent, ensuring that people knew, discussed, and supervised the implementation. Ward leaders, cadres, party members, heads of residential groups, and organizations such as the Fatherland Front, Farmers' Association, etc. directly "went to every alley, knocked on every door", clearly explaining the meaning and long-term benefits of the project. With flexible, persistent, and reasonable propaganda, people gradually understood, trusted, and agreed.

Along with the 8 households that previously agreed to donate land and hand over the site, the remaining households' agreement to conduct the inventory and measurement of the land within the planning boundary to serve the project demonstrated the spirit of solidarity and unanimity of the people and the local government.

Thereby, the Project to Renovate and Upgrade Vu Manh Hung Street will soon be implemented, creating favorable conditions for people's travel and activities as well as the local socio -economic development, contributing to the successful implementation of the goal of building Tu Minh ward to be increasingly civilized, rich and modern.
