Lam Dong urges progress of Ta Hoet reservoir resettlement project

The working delegation included leaders of the Departments of Agriculture and Environment, Finance; representatives of the Management Board of Construction Investment Project No. 1, the Management Board of Construction Investment Project of Duc Trong area and the People's Committee of Hiep Thanh commune.

Comrade Nguyen Ngoc Phuc, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, inspected the project to invest in building infrastructure for resettlement areas to serve the Ta Hoet reservoir project.

According to the Duc Trong Area Construction Investment Project Management Board, the project has a total investment of 30 billion VND. To date, the investor has completed about 80% of the construction volume. The remaining 20% of the volume has not been implemented due to land clearance problems in the Trung Hiep hamlet hill area, Hiep Thanh commune (sub-area 277A).

Comrade Nguyen Ngoc Phuc, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, discussed with leaders of Hiep Thanh commune about the progress of the resettlement project to serve the Ta Hoet reservoir project.

Completed items include: Power supply system, water pipeline, water reservoir of 5% land area of Hiep Thanh commune, with total disbursement value reaching 6.07/10.1 billion VND, equivalent to 60% of the plan.

The current difficulty and problem of the project is that the land in the Trung Hiep village hill area (sub-area 277A) has not been handed over, affecting the progress of construction packages 04 and 09. The work of reclaiming and enforcing land for Mr. Tran Van Do's household is being implemented by the locality. The compensation and site clearance (GPMB) file of the Ta Hoet reservoir project in Hiep Thanh commune has not yet been completed and handed over.

Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Ngoc Phuc inspected the actual project of investing in infrastructure construction of resettlement area serving Ta Hoet Reservoir Project.

The investor requested that the People's Committee of Hiep Thanh commune promptly organize land recovery and hand over the site of Trung Hiep village hill area for construction; at the same time, continue to arrange staff to receive compensation and site clearance documents on schedule.

Currently, in the resettlement area serving Ta Hoet reservoir, units have implemented land compensation and organized a land draw for 23 households with an area of nearly 2.29 hectares in Lot 30. According to the People's Committee of Hiep Thanh commune, the resettlement area currently has 87 clean land lots, eligible to be allocated to households.

The investor completed the power supply system to serve production for people.

Regarding the handover of forest land area in sub-area 277A, on October 2, 2025, Mr. Tran Van Do's household agreed and signed the minutes of handover of the land area under the resettlement project to the State. On October 7, 2025, the People's Committee of Hiep Thanh commune coordinated with relevant agencies to hand over the entire above area to the investor to continue implementing the project.

The investor completed the irrigation reservoir project to serve people's production.

At the inspection session, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Ngoc Phuc requested relevant departments, branches and localities to focus on removing difficulties, speeding up the project's construction progress, ensuring completion on schedule, meeting the resettlement requirements for people in the Ta Hoet reservoir project area.

People's production area is fully supplied with electricity and water.

He emphasized that the People's Committee of Hiep Thanh commune needs to soon complete the work of reclaiming and handing over the land of Trung Hiep village hill area, closely coordinate with functional agencies in the process of compensation, site clearance and replacement forestation.

At the same time, the Duc Trong Area Construction Investment Project Management Board was assigned to proactively coordinate with relevant units to speed up procedures for converting forest land use purposes, and periodically report progress so that the Provincial People's Committee could promptly direct and remove obstacles, ensuring the project is implemented effectively and in accordance with regulations.
