Weather forecast April 21, 2024: The North is likely to have strong thunderstorms in the evening

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, today (April 21), the area from Thanh Hoa to Phu Yen will have hot and extremely hot weather, with some places experiencing extremely hot weather with the highest temperature ranging from 35-38 degrees Celsius, some places over 39 degrees Celsius; the lowest relative humidity ranging from 35-40%.

The Northwestern region, the Central Highlands and the South will have hot weather, some places will be extremely hot with the highest temperature from 35-37 degrees, some places will be over 37 degrees; the lowest relative humidity is from 45-50%. Other places in the North will have sunny days, the temperature will be lower with the highest around 34 degrees.

Notably, the meteorological agency forecasts that this evening and tonight, in the Northern region, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, especially in mountainous areas, there will be heavy rain with rainfall from 15-30mm, in some places over 50mm.

In addition, in the western mountainous areas of the Central and Central Highlands regions, there will also be scattered showers and thunderstorms this evening. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. Localized heavy rain can cause flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes and flooding in low-lying areas.

The meteorological agency warned that hot weather in the Northwest region, the area from Thanh Hoa to Phu Yen, the Central Highlands and the South is likely to last for many days to come.

Da Nang to Binh Thuan

Cloudy, sunny during the day, especially in the North (from Da Nang to Phu Yen) where it is hot and very hot, especially in some places; showers and thunderstorms in some places in the evening and at night.
