Tourists flock to tourist attractions in Da Nang

(NLDO) - Da Nang welcomed tens of thousands of visitors on the occasion of April 30 and May 1, a series of tourist areas reached 100% capacity.

On May 1, Da Nang City became a destination attracting tens of thousands of domestic and foreign tourists to visit and relax at famous tourist areas and attractions.

Sun World Ba Na Hills is one of the most popular tourist attractions during the holiday season in Da Nang . From early morning, thousands of visitors lined up to take the cable car to admire the "miniature Europe in the heart of the city".

At the Nui Than Tai Hot Spring Park tourist area, there were more than 4,000 visitors on the morning of May 1. On April 30, this number nearly reached 5,000, with the occupancy rate at the Ebisu Onsen Resort reaching 100%. It is expected that this tourist area will welcome a total of about 25,000 visitors during the 5-day holiday.

In addition, many other prominent destinations such as Son Tra Peninsula, Linh Ung Pagoda, Ngu Hanh Son National Monument, Danang Downtown, Da Nang Mikazuki... also recorded a large number of visitors.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hien - Head of Ngu Hanh Son Scenic Area Management Board said that on May 1 alone, this place is expected to welcome more than 7,200 visitors. During the entire holiday, the total number of visitors is expected to reach more than 32,000.

At Da Nang Mikazuki, it is expected that there will be about 18,000 visitors coming to have fun and stay during the 5-day holiday, with an average room occupancy rate of 99% and reaching 100% during peak days from April 30 to May 2.

Not only focusing on tourism activities, Da Nang also organizes many vibrant cultural and artistic events to enhance the experience and serve the people and tourists.

According to the Da Nang Department of Tourism, this year's holiday lasts from April 27 to May 1. During the 5 days, the number of visitors to Da Nang is forecast to increase sharply compared to the same period in 2024. Information from Da Nang International Airport said that the city is expected to receive about 692 flights, an increase of 16% compared to last year, an average of about 138 flights per day.

Da Nang Port also welcomed an international cruise ship docking at Tien Sa Port, carrying about 2,000 tourists. In addition, the number of visitors to Da Nang by rail during the holiday is estimated at more than 13,200.

On the afternoon of April 30, Da Nang inaugurated the 2025 Sea Flower Street, 2 km long, on the sidewalk of Vo Nguyen Giap Street, from the intersection of Vo Van Kiet and Hoang Ke Viem. This is the second year the city has organized this event, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification.

The event is part of the "Sea Tourism Season 2025" Week, which takes place from April 26 to May 2, with 18 activities such as artistic kite performances, international sea rescue competitions, "Overcoming Summer Waves" sea swimming competitions, SUP competitions, sea sports performances and "Son Tra Moments" photo exhibition.
