TPO - The Christmas atmosphere is everywhere in Da Nang with sparkling Christmas trees, elaborately decorated and eye-catching. At Phu Ha Church (Hoa Son Commune), the unique Christmas tree made from 2,000 traditional conical hats has attracted a large number of people and tourists.

At Phu Ha parish church (Hoa Son commune, Hoa Vang district, Da Nang city), parishioners of the parish created and made a Christmas tree from thousands of conical hats for Christmas this year.

The parishioners skillfully arranged the cones into a sturdy Christmas tree. Each cone was decorated with lights, tinsel, baubles, and Christmas motifs, highlighting its brilliant, creative beauty.

According to many parishioners, when coming up with the idea of ​​using conical hats to make Christmas trees, the parish wanted to create something unique and new for Christmas this year.

Mr. Nguyen Tien (residing in Hoa Son commune) said: “To create a Christmas tree made of conical hats, we used 2,000 conical hats. The hats are attached together with a sturdy iron frame, ensuring durability and safety. The process requires meticulousness and elaboration, from choosing conical hats of uniform size, to arranging them in a harmonious and balanced way.”

The nearly 20 meter high pine tree, placed right in the middle of the church, becomes a prominent highlight attracting the attention of many people.

“To complete a Christmas tree that is tens of meters long like this, we had to come up with the idea in October and start working in November. This is not only a unique work of art but also shows the cultural beauty between tradition and modernity,” said Nguyen Phuc.

Thousands of conical hats are arranged in neat layers in eye-catching rows.

At night, the pine tree and many miniature landscapes sparkle in the lights.

According to a representative of Phu Ha parish, the pine tree will be kept until Lunar New Year 2025, to serve the sightseeing and admiring needs of local people and tourists.
