More than 3,500 athletes are expected to participate in the first "Multi-sport" event in Quang Tri.

(Dan Tri) - According to plan, Quang Tri International Marathon and Aqua Warriors Quang Tri will take place on August 2nd to 3rd, with the participation of more than 3,500 athletes.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Tri province held a meeting to discuss and agree on the plan to organize the Quang Tri International Marathon 2025 - Camel Cup and the Aqua Warriors Quang Tri 2025 swimming - running biathlon with the participation of representatives of departments and branches of Quang Tri province.

As planned, the two tournaments will take place consecutively on August 2 and 3, with the participation of more than 3,500 athletes, including more than 70 international athletes.

The Aqua Warriors Quang Tri tournament will take place at the Regal Legend Quang Tri urban area with various outdoor swimming and swimming-running distances, suitable for children, beginners and professional athletes. Meanwhile, the Quang Tri International Marathon - Camel Cup will be held in the center of Dong Hoi ward with distances of 5km, 10km, 21km and 42km.

According to Mr. Le Phu Son, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Tri province, this is an important sports and tourism event in 2025 of the province. The organizing committee not only hopes for the tournament to be successful, but also hopes to build the Quang Tri Marathon and Aqua Warriors brands into annual activities. This is also an opportunity to promote destinations, tourism products and the hospitality of the people of Quang Tri.
