Recently, the Provincial Party Committee issued Resolution No. 01 on the double-digit growth target for the period 2025 - 2030. The Resolution sets the goal of Khanh Hoa soon becoming a centrally-run city, a high-growth pole of the country, with people having a high standard of living, being peaceful and happy. In particular, the province identifies 4 pillars of economic growth that need to be strongly promoted, including: Industry - energy - tourism , services - construction, urban areas.

The province will focus on investment, promoting the development of a strong industrial sector in both breadth and depth, promoting participation in the global supply chain; improving quality, value, expanding the scale of production of key products; focusing on developing high-tech processing and manufacturing industries, energy industries, electronics, telecommunications, and semiconductors. The goal is to develop Khanh Hoa into a national renewable energy center, leading the global energy transition from coastal and offshore wind power sources, solar power, LNG gas power, green hydrogen energy, and nuclear power.

In addition, develop the service and tourism industry in a diverse, high-quality direction with high intellectual and technological content. The province focuses on developing tourism, logistics services, digital economy in the direction of strong innovation and digital transformation, technologicalizing business methods, striving for an annual tourism growth rate of 15%. At the same time, promote investment in development, research, application of science and technology; improve labor productivity, quality, product value; support the development of intellectual property, enterprise development and science and technology market. The goal is to bring Khanh Hoa into the group of leading provinces and cities in the country in the fields of: Oceanography, ocean technology, aquaculture seed production technology, aquaculture and processing technology, vaccines and medical biological products, information technology, energy, application of technology in tourism services.

Khanh Hoa province needs to continue institutionalizing and realizing new viewpoints and visions to integrate into the process of adjusting the Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050. For priority development sectors and fields, it is necessary to pay attention to key factors in marine economic development such as tourism, seaports - logistics, renewable energy, agriculture - fisheries; pay attention to urban development, economic - industrial zones, science - technology, digital transformation, pay attention to marine conservation and ensure national defense - security. Along with that, develop, transfer and apply new technologies in the fields of management and exploitation of seas and islands to serve the development of a green and sustainable marine economy. In addition, the province must focus on training and retraining human resources to meet new requirements and tasks; Identify breakthrough spaces for marine economic development in both vertical structure (bay area: Van Phong, Cam Ranh, Vinh Hy, Ca Na) and horizontal structure (coastal area, sea, island with Truong Sa special zone). In which, coastal area is the key development driving force.
