Cross-terrain horse racing in Lam Dong: Opening the betting project

The 2025 Cross-Terrain Equestrian Tournament held in Lam Dong gathered 20 athletes from 9 clubs across the country and was the opening event for the horse and dog racing track project with betting activities to come into operation.

On August 16, at the Thien Ma Madagui horse and dog racing track - Polo and horse performance club (Da Huoai commune, Lam Dong province), the 2025 cross-terrain equestrian competition took place.

The tournament attracted the participation of 20 athletes and 20 racehorses from 9 domestic sport equestrian clubs.

Teams compete in a 1,800m cross-country course, where riders and horses work together to overcome challenging terrain.

When the starting signal sounded, the audience held their breath following each galloping step, each acceleration of the horses, and the skillful control of the athlete on the reins.

This is the first amateur equestrian sport tournament held in Vietnam, organized by Thien Ma - Madagui Horse Racing Company, with a total prize cost of 1.5 billion VND.

The program is open to the public for direct viewing, contributing to spreading the sporting spirit to the community.

Not just a playground, this tournament aims to promote the sport of horse riding, gradually forming a new sports - entertainment model, serving tourism at the destination of Madagui, and at the same time preparing athlete resources for the horse riding event at the 35th SEA Games.

The 2025 Cross-Terrain Equestrian Championship is also the first step in the operation of the Madagui Horse and Dog Racing Course project - Polo Club and Performance Horses.

This is a special project, approved by the Government to add the business objective of betting on horse racing and dog racing. Sports betting activities are considered to open up a new direction for development of local sports and tourism.

The 1,500 billion VND racetrack is a key project of Lam Dong.

The project has a total investment capital of VND 1,548 billion, and is one of 12 key projects to which the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee granted investment registration certificates at the conference announcing the provincial planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050.

When completed, the project is expected to attract about 3,000 workers, generate thousands of billions of VND in revenue each year and play an important role in diversifying Lam Dong's tourism products.
