Putting into operation Ban Gioc Waterfall Landscape Area (Vietnam)

After 1 year of pilot operation of Ban Gioc Waterfall Scenic Area (Vietnam) - Detian (China), from September 15, 2023 to October 11, 2024, there were 16,092 tourists passing through the scenic area. Of which, 5,190 tourists went from Vietnam to China; 10,902 tourists went from China to Vietnam.

The work of checking and controlling entry and exit at the border crossing of Ban Gioc (Vietnam) - Duc Thien (China) is carried out by border guards, customs and quarantine forces in accordance with regulations, creating favorable conditions for tourists from both sides to travel back and forth; the activities of picking up and dropping off tourists are coordinated quite smoothly by the two travel agencies on both sides, complying with the laws of both sides; the infrastructure in the landscape areas on both sides is invested and built with attention.

At the ceremony, leaders of Cao Bang province (Vietnam) and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China) performed the button-pressing ceremony to officially operate the Ban Gioc Waterfall Scenic Area (Vietnam) - Detian (China).

This is a major and important event in 2024 for Cao Bang province and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in particular, and Vietnam and China in general, and is held during the visit to Vietnam by Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang from October 12-14, 2024 and towards the 75th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-China diplomatic relations (January 18, 1950 - January 18, 2025).

Process customs clearance for tourists to China.

Immediately after the official opening ceremony, 2 groups of Vietnamese tourists and 4 groups of Chinese tourists (each group of 20 people) came to visit the Landscape Area on both sides.

According to the plan, the border crossing for tourists will open from 8:00 a.m. (Hanoi time) and will stop organizing groups to cross the border after 2:00 p.m.; the crossing will close from 5:00 p.m.

Tourists crossing the border are not allowed to stay illegally. The visiting time of each tourist group crossing the border does not exceed 6 hours. Citizens of third countries are temporarily not allowed to cross the landscape areas of both sides.
