Recreating the scene of a man who murdered his lover and robbed her

On April 9, a representative of the People's Procuracy of Thua Thien- Hue province said that the Institute had just coordinated with the Investigation Police Agency of Thua Thien-Hue province to reenact the scene of a murder and robbery case that occurred in La Khe Bai village (Huong Tho commune, Hue city), which had shocked public opinion in this locality.

According to the investigation records, on October 8, 2022, Dang Van Dong (born in 1972, residing in Ha Tinh, currently living in Minh Hung commune, Bu Dang district, Binh Phuoc province) came to the house of Ms. Le Thi O. (born in 1977, residing in La Khe Bai village, Huong Tho commune, Hue city) to visit and stay.

Due to a love conflict, at around 11:00 a.m. on October 10, 2022, Dong used a knife to stab Ms. O to death. After that, Dong took possession of Ms. O's red Majesty motorcycle with license plate 75H4-5793 and an Iphone 6 and fled the scene.

The police quickly identified Dang Van Dong as the suspect in the murder of Ms. O., so they concentrated forces and vehicles into many working groups to capture him.

On October 12, 2022, Dang Van Dong was arrested in Dien Ngoc Ward, Dien Ban Town, Quang Nam Province while on the run. After having sufficient evidence, the Investigation Police Agency of Thua Thien-Hue Province prosecuted Dang Van Dong for "Murder" and "Robbery".

According to the People's Procuracy of Thua Thien-Hue province, during the investigation process, the Procuracy requires the prosecutor to coordinate with the investigator to unify the content, plan, and order of the scene investigation, ensuring objectivity, comprehensiveness, and compliance with the law; the prosecutor must inspect the components conducting and participating in the scene investigation to ensure the correct authority and components according to regulations and other relevant legal documents.

In addition, the leaders of the Thua Thien - Hue People's Procuracy requested investigators and specialists to properly carry out the procedures and order of examination; draw diagrams, take photos, measure and describe the actual situation of the scene according to the law; fully, accurately, clearly and specifically record the details, characteristics and locations of traces, evidence, objects and important documents at the scene to have a basis for review, comparison and inspection with the minutes and diagram of the scene examination; thereby clearly identifying the traces, evidence, objects and documents that need to be requested for appraisal, the content that needs to be requested to serve the investigation and settlement of the case.

Currently, the authorities are completing the documents to soon bring Dang Van Dong to court.
