63 billion road not completed in a decade in Quang Ngai - Lang Son Newspaper and Radio and Television

The main road project from National Highway 24C leading to Dung Quat Eastern Industrial Park (Road No. 6) has an investment capital of 63 billion VND. In 2015, the project began construction and is expected to be completed and put into use by 2020.

Initially, the project was invested by the Management Board of Dung Quat Economic Zone and Quang Ngai Industrial Zones. Recently, the project was transferred to the Management Board of Quang Ngai Traffic Construction Investment Projects to continue implementation.

The starting point of the project connects with National Highway 24C, the end point intersects with the horizontal axis of Dung Quat Eastern Heavy Industrial Park in Binh Thuan Commune, Binh Son District. When completed, the project is expected to help develop the eastern area of ​​Dung Quat Economic Zone.

However, exactly a decade since the start of construction, the main road project from National Highway 24C leading to Dung Quat Eastern Industrial Park is still in disarray and unfinished.

Up to now, the roadbed has been filled with 80% of the soil and is currently in a "stuck" state due to land issues.

The main items of the project are the bridge over the Dam River and the Dung Quat Oil Refinery pipeline. This item has only completed the bridge abutment and launched the girders of spans 1 and 2.

The oil pipeline overpass, M1 pier and T3 pier have yet to be constructed because there has been no agreement on a plan to ensure the safety of the oil pipeline. This issue has been discussed by the relevant parties but there is still no optimal solution.

Many concrete and steel blocks used for project construction are piled up and showing signs of damage and rust.

Recently, the unfinished construction route has become a place for dumping debris.

Mr. Ngo Van Dung - Director of the Project Management Board for Investment and Construction of Traffic Works in Quang Ngai Province - said that because the unit has just taken over the project from the old investor, it is reviewing the entire current status and then will continue to implement it.
