Nhu Xuan strengthens poverty reduction work on information

Information and propaganda in many forms contribute to the effective implementation of sustainable poverty reduction work in Nhu Xuan district.

Project 6 includes Sub-project 1 (information poverty reduction) and Sub-project 2 (communication on multidimensional poverty reduction) which are of interest to the Party Committees and authorities of Nhu Xuan district, considering these as important contents in implementing the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction for the period 2021-2025.

Implementing Sub-project 1 on information poverty reduction, every year, the People's Committee of Nhu Xuan district develops a plan and deploys it to the grassroots level. Directs the Center for Culture, Information, Sports and Tourism to regularly develop news, articles, reports, special pages, and propaganda columns on the district's radio and television system and the grassroots radio system. The number of information and communication officers has been improved through training on poverty reduction communication. The number of public postal service points serving people's access to information is in 16/16 communes and towns. 100% of poor households, near-poor households, newly escaped poverty households, and people living in the district are supported to use telecommunications services, access information, and reduce information poverty. In the period of 2021-2025, the District People's Committee coordinates to open training courses on communication on poverty reduction; propagate articles in Thanh Hoa Newspaper; Develop, edit, and produce propaganda reports on provincial radio and television; print 19,000 leaflets to promote poverty reduction models. Through training courses and communication programs, people are informed and disseminated about the Party's policies and the State's laws, especially policies to support economic development for poor and near-poor households in the district.

In parallel with the implementation of Sub-project 1, Sub-project 2 was also effectively implemented by Nhu Xuan district. Based on the allocated budget, the District People's Committee has implemented the following contents: building a communication billboard on the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction for the period 2021-2025 in Hoa Quy, Bai Tranh and Thanh Quan communes. Organizing 13 communication classes in communes and towns for nearly 900 participants. Organizing propaganda on newspapers, radio and grassroots radio. Organizing forces to participate in the communication contest on the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction in 2024. By focusing on information, propaganda and raising awareness among the people, the poverty reduction work of Nhu Xuan district has achieved many important results. The rate of employed and trained workers is increasing; the rate of households escaping poverty and households escaping near-poverty is decreasing every year.

Mr. Dam Van Thong, Head of the Department of Culture, Science and Information of Nhu Xuan district, said: "Promoting the results achieved in the period of 2021-2024, in 2025, we will continue to preside over advising the District People's Committee and coordinate with relevant units, People's Committees of communes and towns to select appropriate forms, in accordance with regulations to organize information poverty reduction activities under Sub-project 1, Project 6 under the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction for the period of 2021-2025. Communication and information poverty reduction work aims to raise awareness in the whole society, first of all of the heads of Party committees, Party organizations, authorities, the Fatherland Front and socio -political organizations, and all classes of people about the role and significance of poverty reduction work in the new situation. Continue to implement the contents and tasks of information poverty reduction in the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction in 2025, thereby creating opportunities for Poor households, near-poor households, and newly escaped poverty households in the entire district have the conditions to access, use, and enjoy information and communication services".

Training to improve poverty reduction capacity for officials and people in Nhu Xuan district.

Increase investment in facilities and information content, deploy training courses to ensure that the poor in the district have timely access to the Party's policies and the State's laws and policies; listen to, watch and read radio and television programs, publications with rich content, suitable for local customs and practices through press products, media publications, publications, electronic information... Enhance the role and responsibility of the entire political system, the interest of the business community, organizations and individuals in effectively implementing the project.

The implementation content of Sub-project 1, Project 6 under the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction for the period 2021-2025, implemented by Nhu Xuan district in 2025, is: organizing training courses to improve capacity for information and communication officers; compiling documents; training and fostering knowledge, professional skills, and techniques in management and information and propaganda work for officers working in grassroots information work. Producing popular radio and television programs, introducing knowledge about culture, literature, art, and traditional cultural heritage of ethnic minorities that need to be promoted, preserved and passed on to future generations and creating products to serve tourism development. Producing new press works and other media products with essential information content about the grassroots; introducing policies and guidelines on poverty reduction; disseminating good practices, effective production and business models; Disseminate knowledge, experience, and typical examples of efforts to escape poverty to broadcast on district and commune radio... Thereby, creating opportunities for poor households, near-poor households, and newly escaped-poverty households in the entire district to have access to, use, and enjoy information and communication services.
