Mr. Pham Van Thieu said: "Because there are too many calls, I cannot listen and directly resolve all of them. In my role as head of the Bac Lieu provincial government, I have to handle and manage a lot of work during the day. Therefore, in the coming time, this hotline number will be transferred to the staff unit, to promote the effectiveness of the hotline number."
This is natural, Mr. Pham Van Thieu should have seen this coming. He is the chairman of a province, with a thousand and one things to do, he listens to hotline calls and text messages to resolve people's issues, so where does he find the time to resolve and handle them every day?
For example, the Chairman has to attend many meetings. Should he listen to the hotline during the meeting? If he doesn't listen, people will say he's just "showing off", saying things but not keeping his word.
The Chairman of the Bac Lieu Provincial People's Committee plans to hand over the hotline number to the receiving office. And Mr. Pham Van Thieu assured that the hotline cannot be "cold".
It is reasonable to assign the hotline to the office department to receive information, but then do not make a fuss about the Provincial Chairman announcing the hotline, because it belongs to the provincial office, a department that receives information from the people. In other words, this is a form of government receiving information from the people by phone.
The Chairman no longer listens directly to the hotline but can transfer it to any department, the most important thing is to solve the problem. If he just listens, writes notes and then puts them in a drawer, it will not work.
To prove that the hotline was set up to listen to and resolve problems from people's feedback, the Chairman of Bac Lieu must have feedback on the operation of this hotline.
For example, every month, Mr. Pham Van Thieu must publicly announce how many calls and messages the hotline received last month, and how many cases were handled and resolved. Specifically, what cases, and what difficulties and problems were solved for the people.
Only then will people believe and trust, and then call. If it is just for show, then after a few days or half a month, the hotline will become cold because no one will bother to call.
