North-South railway damaged by storm, passengers transferred by car

Due to the impact of storm No. 13 causing heavy rain and strong winds in the area from Quang Ngai to Dieu Tri, some railway sections were damaged and temporarily blocked.

Passenger transport by car

The Railway Industry organized passenger transport on trains passing through the area, from Tuy Hoa station ( Dak Lak ) to Dieu Tri station (Gia Lai) on November 7.

Previously, the Railway industry decided to stop running many trains to ensure safety for passengers and vehicles, including: stopping trains SE21/SE22 departing from Da Nang/Saigon station on November 7; trains SE5/SE6 departing from Hanoi/Saigon station on November 7.

In addition, the Railway sector has also implemented a blockade of the section from Binh Son to Dieu Tri. Currently, trains have stopped and parked at stations to avoid the storm due to strong gusts of wind.

Passengers on the following trains can return their tickets free of charge at the train station. Specifically, trains SE3 and SE1 depart from Hanoi station on November 5; trains SE22, SE8 and SE6 depart from Saigon station on November 6; and train SE21 depart from Da Nang station on November 6. Passengers with tickets for the above-mentioned trains can return their tickets free of charge at the train station, within 30 days from the date of departure stated on the ticket.

Last October, the Railway sector had to temporarily suspend dozens of trains due to the impact of storm No. 12 and heavy rains, causing flooding in the Hue area in the Central region; at the same time, thousands of passengers were transferred by car between two stations due to the area being heavily flooded.
