Railway opens train ticket sales for National Day holiday September 2

Railways will open train ticket sales after summer until the end of 2024, including the National Day holiday on September 2nd.

Vietnam Railways Corporation has just announced that it has opened ticket sales for trains after summer until the end of 2024, including the National Day holiday on September 2, to serve the travel needs of passengers.

Specifically, for the Ho Chi Minh City - Hanoi route, tickets are on sale for trains SE1/SE2, SE3/SE4, SE5/SE6, SE7/SE8.

In the Northern region, tickets for the Hanoi - Da Nang route are available for sale on trains SE19/SE20; for the Hanoi - Vinh route, trains NA1/NA2; for the Hanoi - Lao Cai route, trains SP3/SP4; for the Hanoi - Hai Phong route, tickets for the trains HP1/HP2, LP2/LP3, LP5/LP6, LP7/LP8 are available for sale.

In the Southern region, tickets for the Ho Chi Minh City - Da Nang route are open for sale on train SE21/SE22; for the Ho Chi Minh City - Nha Trang route, trains SNT1/SNT2; for the Ho Chi Minh City - Phan Thiet route, trains SPT1/SPT2.

For these trains, the railway still applies discounts for social policy beneficiaries such as Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, war invalids, people infected with toxic chemicals, people with severe disabilities, the elderly, children, students, union members...

In addition, during the National Day holiday of September 2 (from August 29 to September 3), when purchasing round-trip tickets, you will receive a 5% discount on return tickets for individuals and a 7% discount on return tickets for groups of 20 people or more.

During other periods from August 19 to the end of 2024, except for the September 2 holiday, the railway applies many promotional programs with up to 15% discount on ticket prices.

Accordingly, for Thong Nhat passenger trains SE1/SE2, SE3/SE4, SE5/SE6, SE7/SE8, when purchasing tickets with a travel distance of over 900km, passengers who purchase 10 days or more before the departure date will receive a discount of 5% to 15% of the ticket price, except for the 4-berth sleeper cabin of train SE3.

For train SE21/SE22 (Saigon - Da Nang) with a travel distance of over 600km; train SNT1/SNT2 (Saigon - Nha Trang) with a travel distance of over 300km; train SPT1/SPT2 from Saigon to Phan Thiet, when passengers buy tickets 10 days or more before departure, they will receive a discount of 5% to 15% on the ticket price, except for the 4-berth sleeper cabin of trains SNT1/SNT2, SPT1/SPT2.

For passengers buying group tickets, the number of passengers from 11 people or more will receive a discount from 4% to 12% of the ticket price. Passengers buying round-trip tickets will receive a 10% discount on the return ticket price.

In addition to regular trains, to serve passengers during the September 2 holiday, when the number of passengers increases, the railway will organize additional trains from Hanoi to Thanh Hoa, Vinh, Quang Binh and vice versa; Hanoi to Hai Phong and vice versa; from Ho Chi Minh City to Phan Thiet, Nha Trang, Quy Nhon, Quang Ngai, Hanoi and vice versa.
