After listening to reports and opinions from leaders of ministries, branches, agencies, and Government leaders, concluding the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh directed many immediate and long-term solutions related to 5 important aspects of electricity, including: Power source, power transmission, power distribution, economical and efficient use of electricity, and research on appropriate electricity prices.

The Prime Minister has assigned many specific tasks to each relevant ministry, branch and agency, requiring agencies, units and heads to proactively and effectively implement their functions, tasks and powers based on the principle of absolutely not allowing power shortages in any case.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired a meeting of the Government Standing Committee with relevant ministries, branches and agencies on solutions to ensure electricity supply.

In particular, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the State Capital Management Committee are assigned to direct and approve the Vietnam Electricity Group to develop detailed scenarios for electricity supply for each quarter and each period, especially during the dry months, ensuring feasibility, efficiency and high predictability.

The Prime Minister assigned Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha to direct ministries, branches and units to review and urgently handle current difficulties and problems in electricity-related issues. If they are beyond their authority, they must report to competent authorities for consideration and decision.
