Elon Musk fights online again

The billionaire criticized a streamer who accepted money to promote the game Assassin's Creed Shadows. In response, the game producer sarcastically said Elon Musk once spent money to have others play it for him.

After being labeled a "terrible" game by Elon Musk, the producer of Assassin's Creed Shadows unexpectedly mocked the billionaire for spending money to have someone play the game for him and then showing off his achievements online.

“Is that what the guy playing your Path of Exile 2 account said?”, the official Assassin's Creed account X asked sarcastically.

It all started with a March 25 post by a game developer named Grummz. He posted a screenshot of streamer Hasan promoting Assassin's Creed Shadows on Bluesky, criticizing publisher Ubisoft.

“You can see how Ubisoft is by the amount of money they throw at streamers who give platforms to terrorism,” Grummz said, noting that Hasan once interviewed a Houthi supporter, an organization considered a terrorist by the US.

In the response, Elon Musk expressed his agreement and called Hasan a “fraudster”. “Selling his conscience is a more accurate term. Objectively speaking, he is promoting a bad game for money,” the X owner added.

In response, Hasan brought up Musk’s controversial gaming history. “This guy literally paid someone to level up his character in Path of Exile 2,” the streamer mocked the Tesla CEO.

Things got even more heated when Hasan challenged Elon Musk to a game called Elden Ring. Another popular streamer, Asmongold, also joined in, saying he was willing to host the match. The condition was that the match would need to be live-streamed from both sides to ensure that the Tesla CEO was actually playing the game.

Assassin's Creed Shadows is going through a tumultuous pre-launch period with controversy over protagonist Yasuke being a black samurai. However, the game still sets a huge record for this famous game franchise.
