Elvis Phuong performs and releases album 'Phoenix Love Songs' in Vietnam

"If there are great combinations in the world, then the combination with the Phoenix band is a great thing for me," Elvis Phuong shared. Phoenix was founded in 1968 and later Elvis Phuong joined under the "matchmaking" of musician Ngoc Chanh. The core members of the band included musicians Nguyen Trung Cang, Le Huu Ha, Trung Vinh, Khiem Bass and Elvis Phuong as the lead singer. The band later had several personnel changes with the participation of Le Huy and Chau. The band existed until 1974, and was a big name in Vietnamese music at that time; especially the songs of musicians Nguyen Trung Cang and Le Huu Ha have entered the hearts of many generations of listeners.

"In my eyes, Ha is always smiling and enthusiastic, often hugging his brothers every time we meet. Cang is absent-minded, always letting his soul drift with the wind and clouds, but likes to talk about philosophy and enjoys new discoveries in art," said Elvis Phuong, adding that "Ha's lyrics express the deep feelings in my soul, the path that I always pursue. And Cang's songs are like a record of tragedies in which I played an important role."

This is Elvis Phuong's third album of Phuong Hoang Love Songs . The previous two CDs were made and released in the US, this album was recorded, made and officially released in Vietnam (co-edited by Elvis Phuong and his wife - Mrs. Pham Le Hoa, released by Phuong Nam Film, composer Minh Man composed the music based on the old recordings of the Phuong Hoang band). The reason for making the album, according to Elvis Phuong: "I am still passionate about the memories of my youth with friends of the same age and age, and most importantly, the songs that have followed Elvis Phuong throughout his 63 years of singing." He spent a lot of time recording because "I want to sing these famous songs again and arrange the order so that it makes sense. Every time I sing, I always feel like I am singing with Ha, Cang and the brothers in the old band."
