The event attracted about 1,000 people including coaches, teachers and yogis from all over the world to gather at Hon Gai beach (Ha Long city) to participate in a collective performance. The special highlight of the program was the performance of traditional yoga protocols led by a representative of the Indian Embassy, imbued with the cultural identity of the country where this sport originated.

Speaking at the 11th International Yoga Day, Mr. Nguyen Viet Dung - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ninh province shared that on December 11, 2014, the United Nations General Assembly passed a resolution declaring June 21 as International Yoga Day. This resolution was approved by 177 countries, including Vietnam.
