According to the Decision, Hanoi has fully met the conditions prescribed in Decision No. 18/2022/QD-TTg and Decision No. 03/2024/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister on recognizing localities that have completed the task of building new rural areas in the period of 2021-2025. This recognition was made based on the proposal of the Minister of Agriculture and Environment in Submission No. 95/TTr-BNNMT dated June 19, 2025.
Accordingly, the Prime Minister assigned the Hanoi People's Committee to be responsible for announcing and organizing rewards in accordance with regulations, while continuing to maintain and improve the quality of cultural and environmental criteria to ensure sustainability in new rural construction.
The decision takes effect from June 22.
The completion of the task of building new rural areas is of special significance to the capital - a locality with a large population and area, with 18 districts and towns having rural communes. In more than 10 years of implementing the national target program on building new rural areas, Hanoi has strongly mobilized resources from the budget, businesses and people, and at the same time has many creative models in transforming production, developing infrastructure and preserving cultural values of the countryside.
Many typical localities such as Dong Anh, Thanh Tri, Gia Lam, Hoai Duc... have become bright spots in building advanced, exemplary new rural areas, contributing to gradually realizing the goal of developing the capital's rural areas in a civilized, modern direction, associated with the sustainable urbanization process.
With the recognition of completing the task of building new rural areas, Hanoi not only achieved another important milestone in rural development but also added motivation to move towards higher goals in the 2025 - 2030 period, contributing to realizing the socio -economic development strategy of the capital and the whole country.
