In the first half of 2025, coal-fired thermal power will remain the main source of supply, accounting for 54.3% of total output. Other sources include hydropower (23.4%), renewable energy (13.5%), gas turbines (6.6%) and imported electricity (2.1%). EVN has ensured safe and continuous electricity supply to serve socio -economic development, meeting people's daily needs; in particular, providing safe and stable electricity to serve the 10th grade high school entrance exams and national high school graduation exams.
The construction investment sector recorded many outstanding results. EVN has started two major power source projects: Bac Ai Pumped Storage Hydropower Plant, Tri An Hydropower Plant Expansion and the Lao Cai - Vinh Yen 500 kV transmission line project. The entire Group has started 80 projects and energized 124 power grid projects from 110-500 kV.
In addition, corporate restructuring, digital transformation and customer service have also been actively implemented. Up to now, all Power Corporations have completed the unification of organizational models and customer communication work; electricity services have been maintained stably; invoicing, collection, customer care via online channels and call centers have been carried out normally, without interruption...
Solutions to ensure electricity during storm season
July has entered the main flood season in the North and the beginning of the flood season in the Central and South. EVN will focus on solutions to ensure electricity during the rainy and stormy season, rationally exploit hydroelectric reservoirs, and ensure fuel for thermal power. At the same time, it will drastically speed up the progress of key projects such as the Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant Expansion, Quang Trach I Thermal Power Plant, and the Lao Cai - Vinh Yen 500kV transmission line to celebrate major holidays.
To ensure electricity for economic development and people's lives in all situations, EVN hopes to continue to receive the sharing and active cooperation of people and electricity customers through thoroughly using electricity economically, especially during peak hours at noon (13:00 to 15:00) and in the evening (21:00 to 23:00).
In particular, pay special attention to the reasonable use of air conditioning, only turn on the air conditioning when really necessary, set the temperature at 27 0 C or higher; at the same time, pay attention not to use many high-capacity electrical devices at the same time during peak hours. Thoroughly using electricity economically also minimizes the risk of electrical incidents and limits the situation of high electricity bills.
