Following the success of the first Ninh Binh Festival in 2022, from December 26-31, 2023, Ninh Binh province will organize the second Ninh Binh Trang An Festival with the theme "the colors of heritage converge and spread". This is a national cultural and tourism event, also a unique festival brand of Ninh Binh province to promote cultural exchange activities and honor cultural heritages associated with tourism development.
The 2nd Ninh Binh - Trang An Festival Program in 2023 is expected to include 4 unique key activities demonstrating the connection, convergence, and dissemination of the cultural heritage colors of Ninh Binh province in particular and regions in the country in general: Festival opening program (at 20:00 on December 26, 2023 at Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex); Southern cultural heritage program (expected at 20:00 on December 28, 2023 at Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex); Northern - Central cultural heritage program and international exchange (expected at 20:00 on December 29, 2023 at Thung Nham Eco-tourism Area) and the closing program "Fiery Ancient Capital" - welcoming the new year (expected at 22:30 on December 31, 2023 at Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex).

The highlight that makes the difference of the 2nd Ninh Binh-Trang An Festival in 2023 is the opening program, which was elaborately staged as the first live performance held in the magical space of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage Trang An Scenic Complex.
Elements of rivers, mountains, music, light, projection mapping technology, contemporary dance art, water-skiing performances, calligraphy through dance art... will blend together to create a beautiful ink painting, telling the story of the history and culture of the ancient capital of Hoa Lu-Ninh Binh and the quintessence of cultural colors of regions and areas along the length of the country.
With its creativity and uniqueness, the live stage on the Trang An river is where artistic performances by artists take place, staged entirely on the water, with an area of over 3,000m2. Designed with the idea of blending cultural elements with natural scenery, honoring the beauty of the mountains and poetic rivers in the Trang An Heritage.
Coming to the live show, visitors seem to be opened to a space with Ninh Binh landscape, Trang An landscape painted like a watercolor painting, through performances: Color of time; Legend of Hoa Lu; Perfume of Trang An; Village festival; Motherland Cheo singing...
At the conference to contribute ideas to the script of the Festival's activities, the members of the Organizing Committee listened to the creative team report on the overall script, stage layout and content related to the 4 key activities of the Festival. In particular, it was emphasized that the live show was staged with the desire to combine human factors, modern sound systems, lighting technology systems... to ensure maximum service for the artists' artistic transformation and interaction, while also meeting the overall factors, thematic flow, and consistent ideas of the program.

Meritorious Artist Nguyen Thi Thanh Hang, Scriptwriter and General Director of the 2nd Ninh Binh Festival in 2023, said: The scripts of the programs have also been developed in detail. In particular, to tell the story of the people, the land, and the cultural imprints of the ancient capital of Hoa Lu-Ninh Binh, the script focuses on the combination of elements such as music, choreography, singers... and the use of modern performance technologies such as 3D Mapping, Lazer Mapping...
For the first time, a live show, bringing the opening program into the heart of the heritage, creating a unique artistic picture, will certainly bring extremely impressive and eye-catching artistic performances of the 2nd Ninh Binh-Trang An Festival in 2023 through the careful preparation of Ninh Binh province as well as the dedication, responsibility and innovation and creativity of the production team.
According to the opening ceremony script, there will be about 700 artists and actors participating in stage performances, including about 300 boatmen in Trang An eco-tourism area.
Along with the work related to the design of the main stage area, the arrangement of the grandstand position to accommodate about 7,000 delegates, people and tourists from all over the world attending the program is also being urgently completed by units and businesses in the final stages.
