With the theme "Hanoi Autumn - Autumn of Memories", the 3rd Hanoi Autumn Festival 2025 organized by the Hanoi Department of Tourism will take place from November 21-23 at Tran Nhan Tong walking street and Thong Nhat Park.
The highlight of the Hanoi Autumn Festival 2025 marks the strong presence of technology in cultural storytelling.
Visitors can experience virtual reality to step into a Hanoi in Autumn recreated by technology, where memories, images and sounds are interwoven in every angle. 3D simulation technology and digital space help old stories come alive, connecting heritage with the younger generation.
AR and VR applications bring the capital's culture closer to international visitors, helping the festival's storytelling reach even those who come to Hanoi for the first time.
The opening ceremony of the Festival is the art program “Hanoi Autumn Melody” which will take place at 7:30 p.m. on November 21. The lighting effects combined with music create a symphony that evokes and awakens familiar memories of autumn in the capital.
During the three days, visitors will walk through thematic spaces. The yellow and red colors of autumn are recreated through artistic miniatures and check-in areas. The destination introduction space offers a panoramic view of Hanoi tourism from heritage, craft villages to contemporary culture.
The "Old Quarter Travel Zone" area gathers stimulus products from airlines, hotels, and travel businesses, creating a vibrant rhythm for the year-end tourist season.
Autumn in Hanoi is also conveyed through cuisine in the space "Taste of Memory", where visitors enjoy dishes associated with autumn and the culture of the three regions.
The “Hanoi - Youthful Life” area offers street performances, craft workshops, sketching and a playground for children. The exhibition “Hanoi - Autumn seen through the lens” tells the story of Hanoi through images of photographers and people who love the capital.
The highlight of the final day was the art performance on the morning of November 23 at Tran Nhan Tong walking street. The participation of folk art teams such as Thanh Oai lion dance, Te Tieu puppetry, Dan Phuong rowing boat, along with performances by students and children brought a bustling, vibrant atmosphere in the spirit of the cultural festival.
In parallel with the main activities, a series of community playgrounds were deployed before and during the Festival such as: "Autumn in my eyes" opens up a world of creativity for children through poetry, music, and paintings; "Moments of Hanoi memories" encourages the community to record the beloved moments of autumn through photography; the "Hanoi 5-door city" experience tour combined with The Hanoi Train helps visitors recreate the old journey; the "Touching Autumn Hanoi" experience series of Vietnam Airlines and the "I, Hanoi" Photo Tour lead the community to explore typical destinations such as Ba Vi, Soc Son, Huong Son, Duong Lam, Bat Trang, and West Lake.
The closing ceremony took place on the evening of November 23rd, a moment to express gratitude to organizations, individuals and businesses who joined hands to create a complete festival season. The festival ended with an emotional art program, sending a message about Hanoi's memories being preserved and continuing to spread through every step of visitors.

Hanoi has its own beauty in each season. However, perhaps autumn is the season that makes people's hearts flutter the most. Autumn in Hanoi begins in September and lasts until November.
The weather in the capital during the changing seasons is very beautiful, so many tourists take advantage of this time to travel to Hanoi so as not to miss the most beautiful moments of Hanoi in Autumn.
It is no coincidence that Hanoi's autumn makes people so passionate. The streets are covered with flying yellow leaves, the scent of milk flowers permeates the streets and the simple gifts make people love and miss the capital's scenery even more when the seasons change.
Coming to Hanoi in September and October, visitors will be amazed by the breathtaking beauty of Hanoi's autumn sky. The golden sunlight of autumn is still extremely brilliant but no longer feels hot. The sunlight filters through the rows of trees and leaves, dyeing a fresh color to the ancient, gentle beauty inherent in the land of Trang An.
The streets of Hanoi in Autumn are also gentler and more peaceful. There is no longer the usual hustle and bustle.
One of the specialties of Hanoi's autumn is the streets covered with flying yellow leaves. In the chilly morning of the capital, quickly put on a thin sweater and get on the bus and turn onto Hoang Dieu Street or Phan Dinh Phung Street, you will feel all the romantic and peaceful beauty of this city.

Autumn in Hanoi is also characterized by the strong scent of milk flowers. When autumn comes, the scent of milk flowers permeates the streets, making many people sigh.
Traveling to Hanoi in October, you will see the image of pure white flowers, forming small clusters creating a white sky. Just one flower blooming, the whole street corner will "emit" a strong fragrance.
If you don't know what Hanoi's autumn is like, try wandering around the streets, you will see street vendors that seem to embrace the autumn sky.
There are stalls carrying Hanoi autumn flowers such as yellow chrysanthemums, daisies, lilies, aster chrysanthemums... And there are also stalls carrying autumn specialties such as Vong village green rice, ripe sour plums, ripe apples, and crispy persimmons.
In September 2025, Time Out Magazine (UK) listed the top 7 most beautiful autumn destinations in Asia, in which Hanoi ranked 5th.
Time Out magazine rated Hanoi as an ideal destination to enjoy autumn with its cool air and sparkling scenery of the Mid-Autumn Festival in the old town./.
