As planned, the Vietnamese women's futsal team departed at 11:55 a.m. on May 1, flying to Inner Mongolia (China), ready to embark on the journey to conquer the 2025 Asian women's futsal finals.
Before the team set off, VFF Vice President Tran Anh Tu encouraged the team and said: "The Asian tournament has a different scale and pressure compared to regional tournaments, so the team needs to maintain a strong mentality and compete with the highest will."
According to the Vice President of VFF, reaching the final round this time will have a special significance as it opens the door to participating in the Women's Futsal World Cup, so the whole team needs to be serious in all activities at the tournament, from competition, training to diet and living.
Representing the players, captain Trinh Nguyen Thanh Hang confided: “The recent training trip to Japan has brought many valuable lessons. The whole team will try their best, compete with all their hearts to realize the World Cup dream, as a gift for Vietnamese futsal fans.”

Evaluating the training trip, Head Coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang said: “ We had two quality and useful matches in Japan. The Japanese national team is a team with a fast, high-intensity and diverse playing style. This helps Vietnamese players accumulate more valuable experience. This is an important preparation step before entering the upcoming big playground.”
The 2025 AFC Women's Futsal Championship will take place from May 7 to May 18 in China. The Vietnamese women's futsal team is in Group B with Iran, Hong Kong and the Philippines.
According to the tournament format, the top two teams in each group, along with the two best third-placed teams, will advance to the quarter-finals. The top three teams (champions, runners-up and third-placed teams) will qualify for the 2025 Women's Futsal World Cup Finals later this year.
