Galaxy Z Fold7 has a super thin design, priced at nearly 70 million VND

The Galaxy Z Fold7 foldable smartphone was just launched at the Samsung Unpacked event in New York on July 9. The product retains the square design language of the previous generation but is made thinner and lighter, giving the feeling of using a bar-shaped phone when folded. The device comes in four colors: gray, navy blue, black and a special mint green color that is only sold on the company's website.

One big change to the Galaxy Z Fold7 is its thinness. It changes its size from 153.5 x 68.1 x 12.1 mm on the Galaxy Z Fold6 to 158.4 x 72.8 x 8.9 mm when folded, and from 153.5 x 132.6 x 5.6 mm to 158.4 x 143.2 x 4.2 mm when opened.

The outer and inner screen sizes of the device have increased to 6.5 and 8 inches respectively, while the previous generation was 6.2 and 7.6 inches.

The device is not only one of the thinnest folding smartphones in the world , but also the lightest at only 215 grams, while the Oppo Find N5 is 229 grams, and the Honor Magic V5 is 219 grams.

Samsung still uses the Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel, 2K resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate. The glass has been upgraded for protection, with the outer screen using Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2, similar to the Galaxy S24 Edge, and the inner screen using Gorilla Glass Victus 2, 50% thicker than before. Both have a brightness of 2,600 nits.

Samsung continues to improve the Armor Flex Hinge hinge with a waterdrop and multi-rail design, helping to disperse pressure evenly to protect the screen and reduce creases better.

In addition to 7-year operating system and security upgrades, Samsung's premium foldable smartphone is now covered by a global warranty in 120 countries for the first time. Water resistance remains at IPX8 level and there is no dust resistance. The crease in the middle of the screen is still there but is fainter and less noticeable when viewed straight on.

Samsung compares the hinge system of the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Fold7. The hinge system of the Z Fold7 is more compact and has less details. The inner screen is equipped with an additional layer of titanium to increase durability and screen protection.

The device supports a series of AI features that generate the best Vietnamese understanding on the market. In addition to familiar tools from the previous generation such as translation, text editing, and instant translation, this year's most impressive feature is Gemini Live.

Users can let Gemini read information directly on the screen and give suggestions or use the camera to search directly, the ability to understand natural Vietnamese is improved better. The search circle feature is upgraded with the ability to search even while playing games, to receive instructions via the screen.

The AI generative technology used for taking and editing photos has also been upgraded. The camera automatically recognizes images and suggests subjects to delete or move, users just need to select the subject they want to change and do not have to manually paint as before. When taking photos, the camera will automatically recognize and suggest the best shooting angle for users. As for video recording, a useful feature is to remove noise with AI with just one touch.

The Galaxy Z Fold7 is still the model with the best configuration of the year with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. In addition to the 12 GB RAM configuration, 256 or 512 GB internal memory like the previous generation, for the first time Samsung equipped its smartphone with 16 GB RAM and 1 TB internal memory.

The camera cluster returns to the same design as the Z Fold5 with a smoother and thinner metal ring. The device still uses a triple camera system, in which the main camera is upgraded to 200 megapixels, supports OIS optical anti-shake similar to the S25 Ultra, 12 megapixel super wide angle and 10 megapixel telephoto lens supports OIS with 3x optical zoom, 30x digital zoom.

The two selfie cameras have the same 10 megapixel resolution, with improved lenses for wider shooting angles. Samsung does not use a hidden camera under the screen for the main screen like before. The photo quality is better thanks to new sensors, processors, AI and algorithms.

The battery retains the same 4,400 mAh capacity despite the device being thinner and lighter. The product uses 25 W fast charging and 20 W wireless charging. The device is still equipped with dual speakers with a long groove design, the SIM slot is placed on the top instead of the side.
