More than 29.2 million successful searches of health insurance card information using chip-embedded citizen identification cards for medical examination and treatment procedures.
The Prime Minister approved the "Project on developing applications of population data, identification and electronic authentication to serve national digital transformation in the 2022-2025 period, with a vision to 2030" (Project 06).
Implement Project 06, Social insurance (Social Insurance) Vietnam is connecting, sharing data and using chip-embedded citizen identification cards and national electronic identification application (VNEID) to replace paper health insurance cards for health insurance examination and treatment.
According to statistics from this unit, by the end of June 20, the system had authenticated over 86.9 million demographic information in the national database on insurance with the national population database.
At the same time, the Vietnam Social Security system has provided and shared over 117.5 million records of social insurance and health insurance information for the national population database.
Nationwide, there are 12,455 medical examination and treatment facilities implementing health insurance examination by Chip-embedded citizen identification cards, reaching 97.27% of the total medical facility Health insurance nationwide. Thus, more than 29.2 million successful searches of health insurance card information using chip-embedded citizen identification cards to serve health insurance examination and treatment procedures.
In the first 6 months of 2023, the entire Vietnam Social Security industry received nearly 50 million electronic transaction records (accounting for 85% of the total number of records received both directly and online).
Regarding the integration of the reduction in the contribution level in the renewal of health insurance cards by household, the system of Vietnam Social Security has received and processed the renewal of 15,756 health insurance cards through the service of Renewing health insurance cards by household with the reduction in the contribution level through the Vietnam Social Security Public Service Portal and the National Public Service Portal.
Up to now, the Social Insurance of the two pilot localities (Hanoi and Ha Nam ) has received and processed 39,440 applications for health insurance cards for children under 6 years old and 1,361 applications for funeral expenses through these two groups of interconnected public services.
Vietnam Social Security has coordinated with relevant units to successfully integrate the public service "Unemployment benefit settlement" on the National Public Service Portal since April 12, 2022 and has received from the National Public Service Portal to confirm and return the unemployment insurance payment process for 166,512 cases serving the settlement of unemployment benefits for employees.
The Vietnam Social Security system has received a total of 484,482 valid health certificate data from 1,034 medical examination and treatment facilities nationwide; 138,146 birth certificate data from 1,055 medical examination and treatment facilities; and 1,637 death certificate data from 314 medical examination and treatment facilities.
