On November 23 , on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23, 2005 - November 23, 2025), Thanh Hoa Provincial Museum organized a discussion and received donated artifacts from many individuals and collectors inside and outside the province.
On this occasion, the Museum received nearly 300 artifacts of historical and cultural value , spanning many periods, including ceramics, bronze, production tools of the Tho ethnic group, household items of the Vietnamese people during the Han Dynasty, resistance medals, etc.
All artifacts will be scientifically documented, inventoried, preserved and gradually put on display for research, education and public introduction.
At the seminar, the representative of the Thanh Hoa Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism acknowledged the dedication of the individuals who donated, and highly appreciated the efforts of the Museum in expanding collections, strengthening community connections and promoting the reception of artifacts in the context of digital transformation.
The Department's leaders suggested that the Museum continue to spread the good values of donation activities, creating a widespread movement, contributing to preserving the homeland's cultural heritage.
Over 42 years of construction and development , Thanh Hoa Provincial Museum annually mobilizes and collects about 250 - 300 additional documents and artifacts , reflecting the life, history, culture and people of Thanh Hoa in the process of fighting, building and defending the Fatherland.
The unit is currently preserving more than 30,000 artifacts , including 3 National Treasures and many rare collections. This is a source of especially valuable documents in the treasure trove of Vietnamese cultural heritage, and is also a destination that attracts thousands of domestic and foreign visitors each year.
Museum Director Trinh Dinh Duong emphasized that the development of the Museum today is largely due to the contributions of individuals who voluntarily donated valuable artifacts and relics related to the history and culture of the province.
“These artifacts not only contribute to enriching the Museum's archives, but are also valuable assets for future generations,” said Mr. Duong.
This year's artifact reception event continues to affirm the role of the community in preserving and promoting cultural heritage, contributing to enriching the historical treasure of Thanh Hoa and the whole country.
