Install 41 cameras to ensure security on Phu Quoc island

VOV.VN - To monitor security and order in Phu Quoc city according to Project 06 of the Government, Kien Giang Provincial Police installed 41 security cameras at many key locations in Phu Quoc, the installation is expected to be completed on October 15.

Specifically, the provincial police installed 41 cameras at 7 points, which are traffic gateways and residential areas such as: Bai Vong Passenger Port, An Thoi Port, Phu Quoc International Airport,Sun Group , Corona Phu Quoc Casino, Phu Quoc Night Market area and Ho Chi Minh Square.

The 41 security cameras installed in Phu Quoc are smart cameras, integrated with modern application solutions, developed based on artificial intelligence (AI) technology platform; capable of analyzing and processing image and video data quickly and accurately, helping to improve the effectiveness of security monitoring, contributing to effectively serving the digital transformation task in the Police.

In addition to the security camera system, Phu Quoc City also installed 6 more cameras at garbage hotspots to handle the situation of improper dumping.

Mr. Tran Minh Khoa - Chairman of Phu Quoc City People's Committee said: "The installation of a camera system to monitor security and order in the city is one of the breakthroughs in applying science and technology to serve the work of monitoring and managing the area of the police force. At the same time, it contributes to raising awareness when participating in traffic, preventing and fighting crimes of people, businesses and crime prevention activities".
