This afternoon (July 22), storm No. 3 (WIPHA) made landfall in areas directly affected such as Hung Yen, Ninh Binh, Hai Phong , Thanh Hoa. To ensure safety, electricity companies have proactively stopped and controlled power supply reduction in dangerous areas, in accordance with the established disaster response plan.
Preliminary statistics up to 13:00 on July 22, the entire EVNNPC recorded more than 1.8 million customers having their power supply interrupted due to the impact of storm No. 3. As soon as weather conditions permitted, the Power companies mobilized forces to be on duty, organized on-site inspections, and urgently handled incidents to gradually restore power to customers.
At the same time, more than 400,000 customers in Thanh Hoa, Nam Dinh, Thai Binh provinces (before the merger)... have not been able to restore electricity, due to heavy rain, strong winds or flooding in the area. Here, the Electricity units are maintaining 24/7 on-duty forces, closely monitoring the situation, taking advantage of favorable weather to approach the scene, organizing incident handling and restoring electricity in order of priority from medical facilities, drainage pumping stations, natural disaster prevention warning systems and concentrated residential areas.
Previously, as soon as information about the storm was received, EVNNPC quickly issued dispatches directing member units to urgently deploy disaster prevention and control measures according to the "4 on-site" motto.
EVNNPC will continue to closely monitor weather developments, proactively coordinate forces, materials, and means from less affected units to provide emergency support to heavily damaged units, striving to complete the restoration of power supply to 100% of customers in the fastest time, ensuring absolute safety for people and equipment.
