Northern pig price
The Northern region maintained the trading level of 57,000 - 60,000 VND/kg. The provinces of Hung Yen, Hanoi, and Nam Dinh maintained the price around 58,000 - 59,000 VND/kg, while Thai Nguyen and Phu Tho still reached the peak of 60,000 VND/kg.

The regional market remained stable, fluctuating from 57,000 - 59,000 VND/kg, with an average of about 58,100 VND/kg.
Southern pig price
In the South, prices remained at 60,000 - 61,000 VND/kg. Tay Ninh and Dong Thap continued to maintain the 61,000 VND/kg mark, while Can Tho, An Giang and Vinh Long remained at around 60,000 VND/kg.
In general, today's live pig prices are stable, creating conditions for farmers and businesses to consider herd restoration plans, although disease risks still cause great pressure.
According to the Agriculture & Environment Newspaper citing information from the Quang Tri Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine, as of September 9, the entire province had African swine fever in 63/78 communes and wards. The number of dead pigs and pigs that had to be destroyed was nearly 72,000 out of a total herd of about 494,000, accounting for approximately 17%.
In recent days, Quang Tri province has not detected any new outbreaks. Dan Hoa and Tuyen Son communes have declared the outbreak over. In addition, 8 communes and wards including Bac Gianh, Tan Thanh, Nam Trach, Huong Phung, Dong Trach, Le Thuy, Cam Lo and Nam Dong Ha have gone 21 days without recording any new outbreaks.
Currently, Quang Tri still has 54 African swine fever outbreaks under surveillance. Of these, one commune (Tuyen Lam) has gone 19 days, and 5 communes and wards, namely Dong Hoi, Sen Ngu, Kim Phu, Dong Le and Con Tien, have gone 12 days without new outbreaks.
The Quang Tri Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine has deployed to strengthen the grassroots veterinary force and established working groups to support localities in disease prevention. At the same time, this agency also provided 12,000 liters of chemicals and 1,000 protective suits to help localities isolate, handle and control African swine fever.
