In Gia Lai, Chu Prong area traded at 116,500 VND/kg, while Pleiku and La Grai both kept the price at 116,400 VND/kg, unchanged from the previous day.

The coffee market is currently in a balanced range between supply and demand. A weak US dollar and stable global demand are helping coffee prices hold steady around current levels, with the possibility of a slight increase if weather conditions worsen in major growing regions.

Coffee prices are expected to remain flat or decline slightly this week. If rains continue in the Central Highlands and South of Brazil, prices could fall further; conversely, drought during the harvest season could push prices up.

The market is in a short-term correction phase after a series of consecutive increases. Price stability will depend largely on weather conditions and purchasing activities of export enterprises.

Farmers and agents are advised to closely monitor market fluctuations to make reasonable buying and selling plans, limit risks and take advantage of opportunities when prices adjust.

Pepper prices maintain slight increase

In key growing areas on the morning of November 4, 2025, pepper prices increased slightly by VND 500, fluctuating between VND 146,000 - 148,000/kg.

According to the update of the International Pepper Community (IPC) as of November 4, 2025, global pepper prices remained stable. The price of Indonesian Lampung black pepper remained unchanged at USD 7,213/ton, while Muntok white pepper remained unchanged at USD 10,064/ton.

Brazilian ASTA 570 black pepper prices remained at $6,100 per tonne, while Malaysian ASTA black pepper was stable at $9,200 per tonne. Malaysian ASTA white pepper prices are currently at $12,300 per tonne, unchanged.

Prices of Vietnamese pepper also remained stable, with 500g/l black pepper at $6,400/ton and 550g/l at $6,600/ton. Similarly, Vietnamese white pepper remained stable at $9,050/ton.

The reason for the increase in domestic pepper prices is due to a sharp decrease in supply after the harvest ended, while the demand for purchasing from export enterprises increased. Low inventory among the people has caused a local shortage in the market, forcing traders to compete to buy, pushing prices higher than last week.

Stable import demand from the Middle East and European markets continues to be a factor supporting Vietnamese pepper prices. However, if farmers sell at high prices or some regions harvest early, increased supply may cause prices to adjust slightly downward.

Increased output in Brazil and Indonesia could also put pressure on Vietnam's pepper exports, making the market potentially risky in the short term although it remains well supported by demand.

According to experts, in the first week of November, pepper prices are forecast to remain stable at a high level or increase slightly. If the shortage persists, prices may increase by 1,000 - 2,000 VND/kg, but if there is a large supply, prices may decrease accordingly.
