Spreading the spirit of 80 years of agriculture and environment

On the morning of November 5, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment held a press conference on activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of Agriculture and Environment (1945-2025) and the 1st Patriotic Emulation Congress.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment , this is an important political and social event, marking the 80-year journey of construction, growth and dedication of the agricultural and environmental sector, while affirming the strategic and pivotal role of agriculture, farmers, rural areas, resources and environment in the country's sustainable development.

Chairing the press conference, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Phung Duc Tien affirmed that this is an opportunity to review the results achieved, as well as an opportunity to discuss solutions to overcome difficulties and promote sustainable development. The Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment appreciates the companionship of the press agencies - those who have always stood side by side with the industry in every stage, from propagating policies and guidelines to reflecting real life.

Deputy Minister Phung Duc Tien also said that currently, the entire industry is making efforts to complete development goals, both ensuring domestic food security and strongly orienting towards exports, bringing large surpluses to farmers, cooperatives and businesses.

According to Deputy Minister Phung Duc Tien, Vietnam's agriculture still has a lot of untapped potential. Vietnam aims to bring the export turnover of agricultural, forestry and fishery products to 100 billion USD by 2030 and this goal is completely achievable.

At the press conference, Mr. Le Trong Dam, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Agriculture and Environment Newspaper, introduced a series of events celebrating the 80th anniversary of the tradition of agriculture and environment (1945-2025) and the 1st Patriotic Emulation Congress.

According to Mr. Nguyen Xuan An, Deputy Director of the Department of Organization and Personnel (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment), on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the agriculture and environment sector (1945-2025) and the 1st Patriotic Emulation Congress, the sector was honored to be awarded the First Class Labor Medal; at the same time, 30 cooperatives, 24 typical farmers and farm owners, along with 57 collectives and 151 typical advanced individuals in the period 2020-2025 were honored.
