According to the organizers, the competition started in May 2025, through the preliminary and semi-final rounds, it witnessed clear development of the projects, when the teams completed the technical platforms and integrated implementation solutions, promoting startups.

The highlight of this competition is that the teams have mastered the AIoT platform, especially Advantech's WISE-IoT platform, which allows flexible connection and conversion of data into useful information, ensuring stability and scalability. At the same time, the projects have built a business model with a clear return on investment (ROI) (such as reducing electricity, increasing OEE performance, reducing errors)...

At the end of the final round, the VGU Rangers student group won first prize with the Solar ALoT Network project to monitor and forecast salinity in real time, and self-correct small sensor errors. The second prize went to the Ton Duc University student group (Soilsense Drones) with the Multi-city Drone + IoT platform project to map soil salinity using machine learning models, serving farming in the Mekong Delta.
Innoworks is an AIoT application development playground for students, focusing on solving practical problems on the industrial hardware and software ecosystem (typically WISE-IoT). The 2025 version in Vietnam emphasizes two topics: "Smart Manufacturing" and "Energy & Environment", aiming at operational efficiency, energy saving and sustainable development.
