The fifth generation Chery Tiggo 8 goes on sale in China, priced from 391 million VND

The fifth generation Chery Tiggo 8 officially opened for pre-sale in China, in the 5-seat family SUV segment, competing with Jetour X70 and Geely Boyue L.

Chery has officially opened pre-sale for the fifth-generation Tiggo 8 in the Chinese market, with four versions priced from 105,900 to 135,900 yuan (about 391-502 million VND). This 5-seat SUV has been comprehensively upgraded in design, technology and equipment, and is expected to be officially launched on November 10, 2025.

The new generation Tiggo 8 offers two distinct front-end options. The first version uses a chrome-trimmed polygonal grille, which is luxurious and family-oriented. Meanwhile, the sporty version has a honeycomb grille, giving it a more youthful and dynamic look.

The body maintains a strong and balanced shape, the semi-hidden door handles help increase aerodynamics. At the rear, the horizontal LED strip and the newly designed rear bumper make the car stand out more, with the option of dual exhaust or hidden exhaust depending on the version.

The overall dimensions of the car Length x Width x Height are 4,749 x 1,880 x 1,710mm, with a wheelbase of 2,825mm, promising to bring spacious interior space for the family.

The new Tiggo 8 cabin is more modern, with two central screen layout options including a horizontal configuration of a 10.25-inch digital clock combined with a 15.6-inch entertainment screen. The remaining option is a vertical configuration with a 13.2-inch central screen in the style of an electric car.

Both come with a newly designed two-spoke steering wheel and amenities like wireless phone charging, dual phone docks, and premium interior materials on luxury versions.

The fifth generation Tiggo 8 is equipped with Qualcomm 8155 processor chip, controlling Chery's latest HMI 5.0 system. The user interface is based on cloud computing platform, supporting multi-dialect voice recognition and OTA update.

Premium versions also get a smart virtual assistant, voice control for the air conditioning system, audio, windows and more.

All new Tiggo 8 versions use the Kunpeng 1.6 TGDI turbocharged engine, producing 197 horsepower and maximum torque of 310Nm, with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission (7DCT). This configuration aims to balance performance and fuel economy, suitable for family travel needs.

The fifth-generation Tiggo 8 is positioned in the 5-seat family SUV segment, competing directly with the Jetour X70 and Geely Boyue L in the Chinese domestic market. With a new design, high-end equipment and competitive prices, Tiggo 8 will continue to be one of Chery's main SUV models in the 2025-2026 period.
