Signing of cooperation agreement on sending and receiving seasonal workers from Dak Lak to Korea

On the morning of November 5, the Dak Lak Department of Home Affairs held a signing ceremony for a cooperation agreement on sending and receiving seasonal workers to Korea between the Dak Lak Department of Home Affairs, Dak Lak province (Vietnam) and the Anseong city government, Gyeonggi province (Korea).

Attending the signing ceremony were Provincial Party Committee member, Director of the Department of Home Affairs Truong Ngoc Tuan; leaders of departments and centers under the Department; representatives of the Provincial People's Committee office; Mr. Seugsu Son, Director of the Agricultural Policy Department of Anseong City and the working delegation of the Anseong City government, Gyeonggi Province.

According to the agreement, the conditions for recruitment and acceptance of workers are applied to male and female workers from 25 to 45 years old; in which priority is given to experienced farmers/fishermen. The number of workers sent by Dak Lak province each year will be decided through an agreement between the two parties.

The dispatching period is in the first half of the year (January to June) or the second half of the year (July to December) according to the time required by Anseong City. Working hours are 7-8 hours per day, but the employee and the employer can agree to adjust the working hours within the maximum limit of 10 hours per day. Wages will be paid at least once a month and are guaranteed to not be lower than the minimum wage of Korea each year.

Representative of the delegation, Mr. Seugsu Son respectfully thanked the Dak Lak Department of Home Affairs for the warm welcome, and emphasized that the signing will contribute to promoting and deepening the relationship between the two provinces and the two countries.

According to the Department of Home Affairs, the signing of the cooperation agreement on sending and receiving seasonal workers to Korea marks an important step forward in the province's work of sending workers to work abroad; opens up opportunities for exchange and cooperation between the two localities of Vietnam and Korea; creates conditions for Dak Lak workers to go to Korea to work, increase their income and update and summarize more knowledge and experience in the agricultural/fishery sector to return to serve their home province.
