Compared to the same period last year, CPI in October 2025 increased by 4.27%, compared to December 2024 increased by 3.85%. On average, in the first 10 months of 2025, CPI increased by 5.07%.
During the month, 7 out of 11 groups of goods and services increased in price. The group of food and catering services increased the most with 0.46%, causing the overall CPI to increase by 0.16 percentage points. Of which, food increased by 0.73% due to supply being affected by storms; eating out increased slightly by 0.05%. Next was the group of other goods and services, which increased by 0.21% due to the high price of personal items, including jewelry.

The education group increased by 0.11% due to adjustments in university and postgraduate tuition fees. The beverage and tobacco group increased by 0.08% as consumer demand increased during the rainy season. The culture, entertainment and tourism groups increased by 0.06%; household appliances and equipment increased by 0.03%; and medicines and medical services increased by 0.01%.
On the other hand, there were 3 groups of goods that decreased in price. The biggest decrease was in the transportation group, down 1.1% due to the 2.59% decrease in gasoline prices according to world prices, the price of new cars decreased 0.72% and motorbikes decreased 0.03%. The post and telecommunications group decreased 0.11%, mainly in smartphones and tablets to stimulate consumption. The housing, electricity, water, fuel and construction materials group decreased 0.04%, mainly due to the 1.72% decrease in gas prices. The garment, hat and footwear group remained stable compared to the previous month.
In the first 10 months of 2025, 9 out of 11 commodity groups increased in price, of which the strongest increase was in medicine and medical services (up 15.72%), followed by housing, electricity, water, fuel and construction materials (up 13.26%) and other goods and services (up 6.04%). The two commodity groups with decreases were transportation (down 2.18%) and post and telecommunications (down 1.15%), contributing to curbing the increase in the average CPI in the first 10 months of this year.
