Check landslide points in Tuy Hoa ward

Faced with the complicated developments of storm No. 13, on the morning of November 5, leaders of Tuy Hoa ward, including comrades Dao Bao Minh, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Party Secretary, Chairman of Tuy Hoa ward People's Council; Huynh Ngoc Oanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee; Nguyen Cong Thanh, Chairman of the ward People's Committee, inspected landslide-prone areas in the ward.

Accordingly, the delegation surveyed the embankment area of ​​Ward 6 fishing port; a landslide section of more than 150 m long belonging to Bach Dang embankment in Ward 1 Tran Hung Dao, Dinh Tien Hoang Secondary School, vulnerable points due to high tides in Tuy Hoa Sea Park area and low-lying points in the embankment area of ​​Song Ba.

At the embankment in Ward 1, Tran Hung Dao, which has eaten into the road, the locality has used corrugated iron to surround it to avoid danger.

At Dinh Tien Hoang Secondary School in Ninh Tinh neighborhood, after many days of heavy rain, on November 4, the surrounding wall collapsed onto a resident's house (no casualties). Currently, the school has used ropes to secure the remaining wall.

For the Ba River embankment area, the Ba River Left Bank Anti-Erosion Embankment Project is being implemented and is expected to be completed by the first quarter of 2026...

Chairman of Tuy Hoa Ward People's Committee Nguyen Cong Thanh said: "At the landslide sites, the ward has directed the forces to take measures to ensure safety during storm No. 13. The locality recommends that residents living nearby be ready to evacuate when there are signs of danger. For the newly emerged landslide at Dinh Tien Hoang Secondary School, the ward assigned the Economic , Infrastructure and Urban Affairs Department to estimate the budget and have a plan for early support."

Tuy Hoa ward leaders mobilized business households in coastal areas to comply with the sea ban.

In the long term, the locality will soon deploy the embankment project in Ward 1 Tran Hung Dao according to the approval decision from June 2025 as well as provide maximum support for the Ba River Left Bank Anti-erosion Embankment Project to be completed ahead of schedule.
