I look forward to and have high expectations for the upcoming 14th National Congress of the Party. I highly agree with the draft documents submitted to the Congress. In particular, I am interested in the goal of developing sustainable, modern, and smart urban areas. This is a strategic orientation, of great significance for Hai Phong , to become a modern port city, worthy of being one of the three major urban centers of the country, and to become an urban area of the Southeast Asian region by 2030.
In recent years, the city has made great strides in planning, investing heavily in transport infrastructure, beautifying and expanding urban space. However, to be worthy of being a modern, civilized city, a national and international urban center, the city needs to be invested more in synchronous infrastructure, inter-regional transport, seaport infrastructure, logistics, digital infrastructure and social infrastructure. This is not only the desire of the Party Committee and the government but also the great expectation of the city's people.
The draft documents submitted to the 14th Party Congress clearly state the requirement to mobilize and allocate resources effectively to develop urban infrastructure, creating new momentum, especially for major economic centers, including Hai Phong, an important growth pole in the Red River Delta region. If strongly institutionalized, this will be a "golden opportunity" for not only the whole country but also the Port City to continue to make breakthroughs, build a modern, green and smart urban appearance, affirming its position as the leading center for industrial, service, logistics and urban development in the country.
