During the days of severe floods that have severely affected the lives of people in the Central region, since November 1, a volunteer group from Hai Phong city has overcome many difficulties to reach out and provide support.
Specifically, the delegation was present at An Tho village, Nam Hai Lang commune (Quang Tri), giving 800 meals, 40 gifts and 60 million in cash to poor households that suffered heavy losses.

Immediately after that, the group continued their journey to Da Nang, cooked more than 400 meals, gave 350 gifts and cash to people in Duy Xuyen and Nong Son communes.

The delegation also supported two field kitchens in Quang Tri and Da Nang with a total of 1.4 tons of rice, 600 kg of vegetables and fruits, 200 kg of peanuts, 1,000 eggs, spices and 10 million VND in cash.
During the journey, due to rising floodwaters, the group was stuck in Phu Gia 1 village and had to stay temporarily at local residents' homes before continuing on to other relief sites. Volunteer team members joined hands with local people to clear the road when the floodwaters receded to get out of the isolated area.

Despite the long, arduous and potentially dangerous journey, the members of the group always maintained an optimistic, united and dedicated spirit. They brought with them not only practical gifts but also humanity, kindness and the spirit of “Hai Phong people looking towards the Central region ” .
The timely and practical actions of the Hai Phong volunteer group have contributed to spreading the spirit of mutual love and support, and are a great source of encouragement to help the people of the Central region stay steadfast in the face of difficulties caused by natural disasters.
