On November 4, as soon as the water receded, military forces, environmental sanitation workers, teachers, and local militia urgently cleaned up mud and garbage, restored the urban landscape and learning environment, and soon brought students back to school in safe conditions.
Many schools and urban areas of the city were "surrounded" by floodwaters. Despite prior preparation, the damage caused by the floods was still quite severe. The water receded, leaving behind a large amount of mud on tables, chairs, books and a series of garbage on the streets.
Vy Da Primary School is located in a low-lying area of Vy Da Ward. After each flood, the boarding facilities, school supplies and fire protection system were all severely damaged due to prolonged flooding. After each flood, teachers rolled up their sleeves, some holding brooms, others spraying water to quickly rescue school supplies and teaching equipment. However, the continuous floods have made the post-disaster work more difficult.
Taking advantage of the dry weather, on November 4, soldiers of Regiment 6 (Hue City Military Command) were present at the school to help the school overcome the consequences of the flood. In just about an hour, the school yard was cleaned of mud and trash, and the drainage system was cleared. In the classroom, teachers carefully cleaned the podium, the floor and arranged the tables and chairs neatly. The working atmosphere took place urgently with the desire to welcome students back to school soon.

Mr. Nguyen The Sinh, Principal of Vy Da Primary School, said that following the motto "where the water recedes, there is sanitation", all teachers and staff were mobilized to clean up. Thanks to the support of Regiment 6, the Vy Da ward militia and teachers from neighboring schools, the workload was significantly reduced, and hopefully in just a few days, teachers and students will soon return to school safely.
Not only Vy Da ward, but also other schools such as Thuy Van Primary School, Chu Van An Secondary School, Xuan Phu Primary School and Kim Long and Huong Ho Kindergartens... also had the support of soldiers of Regiment 6. The image of soldiers and teachers cleaning tables and chairs, mopping classroom floors in the thick layer of mud became a vivid symbol of the spirit of "military - people like fish and water".

Lieutenant Colonel Ta Van Tu, Political Commissar of Regiment 6, said that the Regiment organized tasks in 5 directions with a total of over 200 officers and soldiers deployed in 10 schools and 2 medical centers in the city, ensuring the progress of learning and medical examination and treatment for the people. Floods on floods caused the workload and pressure of the soldiers to increase continuously for many days. However, determining the above task as the top priority, the soldiers of Regiment 6 still made efforts to overcome difficulties, striving to quickly return the clean and beautiful landscape to the schools and units as soon as possible.
In the localities, the police of various units and localities also simultaneously mobilized hundreds of officers and soldiers to participate in cleaning up many schools, medical stations, public areas and roads flooded with mud after the flood to soon bring people's lives back to normal.

At the same time, the environmental sanitation workers of Hue Urban Environment and Construction Joint Stock Company also simultaneously mobilized to urgently collect mud and garbage on central roads such as Hung Vuong, Tran Hung Dao, Nguyen Hue, Nguyen Sinh Cung...
Motor vehicles operate continuously, focusing on central areas, markets, schools, offices, and tourist routes to ensure traffic safety as well as urban landscape. The amount of waste and mud after the flood is many times larger than usual, but thanks to the urgency and solidarity of workers and people, many streets, parks, and residential areas are quickly returning to normal life.
According to the representative of Hue Urban Environment and Construction Joint Stock Company, a series of workers set out to carry out their tasks with the spirit of working urgently, finishing each area, "cleaning up as you go". In addition, workers are divided into flexible shifts and have more equipment to ensure safety, save energy for workers as well as speed up progress. The company also called on Hue people to join hands to protect the environment, not to throw garbage into the water, to tie up and neatly collect garbage so that the collection work can be convenient and safe.
These days, throughout Hue city, the sound of shovels, garbage trucks and the laughter of teachers, students and soldiers echo after many days of interruption due to floods. From the muddy hands of soldiers, teachers and environmental workers, Hue is gradually reviving, ready to welcome new sunny days with a clean urban landscape and a safe learning environment for students.
